The work was really fantastic. Silvio and his crew were creative in figuring out the best layout to optimize the space, working around parts of the basement that could not be easily moved, to really make the space wonderful. The flexible and creative approach, the attention to detail, and the finishes were really great, creating a mixed use finished basement for a gym, TV area for the kids and laundry nook. Silvio has an incredible attention to detail which we appreciate, and he always went the extra mile to do the "best" thing, not the easiest. We had some unexpected permitting delays (our towns issue, and not his), but he made sure to get everything through to finalize the project. He and his crew were incredibly easy to have in our house. They were kind, respectful and very nice people. A house remodel can be very disruptive, but they really went out of their way to assure disruptions were minimized. They have a small company which I think is a huge benefit, as their approach is quite bespoke. When they are working on your project, you know that you have all of their attention, and they want to and will do an fantastic job. Lastly, their price was neither the most expensive, nor the cheapest, but you absolutely more than get what you pay for with them in a very positive way. We will hire their company again.

Silvio and Rinaldi were amazing! They did an outstanding job on the work we needed. The attention to detail was greatly appreciated and we would recommend them to anyone that needs their services. We will definitely be using them again when we remodel our bathroom!

Our project went very well. Took longer due to the lockdowns, but these guys are solid and trustworthy; I highly recommend them. They're good people. My wife and I still admire how nice the work is almost a year later. We've tried, but we cannot find anything to criticize. Silvio and Dan are experts of their craft. We especially appreciated their attention to detail. We had a good amount of tiling work done in our half bath and laundry room area, and it is impeccable. Perfectly level and as square as the walls allow. Hard to beat this level of craftsmanship at this price.

Innovus Building & Remodeling, LLC was hired for a bathroom remodel. The scope of work entailed gutting the existing bathroom by removing the shower/tub enclosure, tile floor, vanity, toilet and bringing the plumbing up to code. New installation of floor to ceiling tile for the shower, installation of shower seat, tile floor, vanity, plumbing & toilet. Silvio Carrieri (owner) prepared the work site with great consideration for mitigating dust from demolition. He was excellent with keeping the project moving forward with a very detailed & skilled professional team. I am extremely happy with the finished project and would highly recommend Innovus Building & Remodeling

He had to postpone it couple of times. His price should have been higher to begin with. He probably got tremendous number of people contacting him. He is really a very professional carpenter. He did a very fine job but it involved much more work than he had anticipated. It was a big deal purchase. I ended up paying him something more. If someone wants a carpenter who is a professionalist; he’s very good. I was happy with what he did but the postponing was a bit of a nuisance. He did a fine job. The price was a bargain even with the extras that I paid. It was well worth it. He was very responsive. I set the date for the second time. He arrived and he did the work. He persisted. If I needed to I might go with him again.

Professional, estimate was accurate.  Would hire again

We recently had water damage in our basement, where we have a playroom. In addition to losing the rug, we also had to remove and replace the baseboards around the playroom. I looked on Angie's List for someone to repair this damage, and contacted a total of 4 companies. Of the 4, only 2 would give me a solid estimate. Of those 2, Carrieri gave me a price that I felt was reasonable, while the other did not. They arrived on time, did the work to the estimate, and cleaned up afterwards. Actually, the playroom was cleaner when they left than when they started. They were professional, answered all my questions patiently, and are now on the "short list" the next time I need work done.

Although the work itself was fine, he was definitely slower than other workers that we have used at our house.  This meant increased cost to us, because we had to pay him for additional hours worked beyond the Angie's List deal to have the job completed.  The work itself was fine.

It took a while to get a schedule and the work that was done was entirely satisfactory. It's problematic to get a schedule.

We remodeled a kitchen.  It was tricky in that the rear of a large fireplace bumped into the middle of wall where we desired to have it look like a straight run of cabinets.  The kitchen came out great - showroom quality.
Silvio is a terrific contractor.  He's smart, creative, meticulous,  knows his craft, shows up on time, is trustworthy, and gives you a fair price for his work.  I'd use him again in a heartbeat.  In fact, I look forward to it. My advice: just HIRE HIM. A+++ contractor

The owner came over to see the repairs in advance to be sure he brought the right materials.  He also needed to research the right type of ball clips to be installed.  He brought another carpenter to assist; they showed up on time, were very neat and did a good clean up.  The only glitch was a misunderstanding with the "Angie's List Big Deal" price.  The coupon/offer was for 4 hours and he told me it would take approximately 5 hours and the hourly cost for the extra time.  I agreed.  But when he came to do the work, he brought another person so when they completed the work, the cost was much higher than I anticipated since he considers the 4 hours for one person only (which was stated within the offer, but I didn't think about it when 2 guys showed up).  In the end, he understood the misunderstanding and lowered the total price.  I felt that was both fair and honest of him and I felt I had gotten what I needed for a reasonable cost.  It would have been better to have told me from the start that it was 2 men and 5 hours of work = 10 hours payment, and that the Angie's List coupon would only cover a portion of it.
I'd definitely use them again.  Though their offer was for "handymen", they really know their carpentry skills.  They did excellent work on two small jobs that make my home much more beautiful and I know many contractors wouldn't want to bother with these smaller projects.

The job looks great, very professional.  Silvio knows his trade well, but even better, he has a great sense of the aesthetic.  He came up with creative solutions to problem areas that turned out looking great.  Silvio did a few other jobs for me as well.  And as with this one, I was confident that he was always working for my best interests, for the best outcomes.  In addition to his skills, I highly recommend him for his professionalism, trustworthiness and ability to communicate well.

(In regards to the criticism (from others) around the Big Deal offering, everyone needs to understand the learning curve of these flash deals.  This happens a lot with "groupon-like" deals that generate large volumes of demand for small biz owners in very short time frames.  Don't let this fool you - Silvio is 100% a responsive, skilled, and committed to all home improvement projects that he takes on.  Read his reviews outside of the Big Deal, the reviews are accurate around the great work he does.)

We were expecting our child shortly and badly needed a full bathroom remodel. We had pretty strong ideas about the products, materials and methods that we wanted to use (safe for pregnant women and babies) and needed someone who would be flexible and understanding, not to mention could be relied upon to complete work on time. Silvio proved to be all of those things. He was completely open to working with less conventional materials, but also balanced this with his real life experience and explained potential issues that could come up. The scope of work included gutting our existing bathroom, correcting some structural issues, which required creative framing, installing new insulation, putting up drywall and having it plastered with skim coat, installing wall and floor tiles, painting, and installing bathroom accessories. Silvio pointed out that our bathroom door was quite warped and therefore could not be fixed to close properly. Our door frame was also damaged. We decided to replace the door and frame, and to match the new door to existing doors nearby in the hallway. This was quite challenging, since our house is old, and new products on the market are not made to the same dimensions. Silvio was able to resolve this through special orders and meticulous carpentry work. We also solicited some design advice from him, used his suggestions and were very happy with the results. The quality of Silvio's work and his attention to detail is outstanding. He is a pleasure to work with. He listens and communicates. I would recommend him to anyone and would use him again for future projects.

Contacted this company through Angie's list.  He was a bit overwhelmed by calls from the Angie's list special, but came soon enough.  Friendly and professional.

He did a great job.  I bought his $99 Angie's List special -- I think he was hoping for higher level work, but I really needed my tub to be recaulked and didn't do a good job when I tried it myself.  He did a good job and was very nice.
