We heard running water but could not work out where it was coming from.  The owner, Chuck, came over within the hour and was incredibly friendly and professional.  He investigated all of the options and diagnosed the problem successfully.  He did not charge me for the call-out as he simply turned off a water outlet switch.  However, most provider would have charged a call out fee.  Chuck was fantastic and I would highly recommend Foley & Sons as an honest, reputable responsive company who go the extra mile for their clients.

Tile looks beautiful. They were very patient with my month long decision process in selection of tile and bathroom items. The bathroom is very small, and fitting in the selected sink with wainscoting walls resulted in the need to replace the door - an innovated solution. I also purchased wallpaper from them, and again they were very helpful. The actual work was done quickly and cleanly. Overall, I was very pleased.

I have been shopping at Foley's for about 30 years.  If you want the best price on tile, this is the place to shop.  The selection is excellent, and the salespeople are knowledgeable and very helpful.  The store is not as fancy as more high-end tile stores, but neither are the prices.  For example, recently I found a floor tile for my kitchen at a high-end tile store, then I found the same tile at Foley's for a much lower price. Because I paid by check, I also received a discount on the order. When I have requested eco-friendly products, such as no-VOC tile grout and tile sealer, the salespeople have been able to provide these products. I have also bought quality bath supplies and fixtures at a good price.  Although I can afford to shop at more expensive stores, I like the down-to-earth, no-pressure, friendly shopping experience at Foley's combined with a great selection of quality products at the best price.

We had a glass shower door that whose hinges were separating from the tiles that the door was attached to. I was concerned that the entire door would fall out of its frame. I called Foley and Sons and they came to take a look the same day. They came back the next day and fixed the hinges and left everything in great shape. Overall, I was very please with their quick, professional work and would highly recommend them.

They just recommended the correct sink for our bathroom and my husband is doing the installation. They have always been very polite and very helpful. When you order something, it is in when they say it is going to be in. They are very accommodating.

I contacted Foley as they are local. My insurance company discouraged me as she said they were maybe too expensive but I wanted to support local business. They were prompt, friendly, easy to work with. They aided in picking tile and toilet. They were prompt and did the work on time. What did not go well was when the ceiling in the kitchen was replaced, the person putting it up left a light fixture above and rather than remove the ceiling and do it all again, I had to buy new fixtures so they all matched. When the electricians were here, Foley's said to me " if there is anything else you would like the electricians to do while there, just ask." Thinking this would just be part of an hourly bill, I did and they spent an extra 45 minutes disconnecting an electrical lamp post outside. And I got a bill for over 300 dollars for this extra work. Had I known this would be extra when asked if there was anything else I wanted, I would not have done it. In addition, I had an estimate done for counter replacement that was three thousand (!) dollars more than an competitor did who also, by the way, threw in an undermounted sink for no charge.

The new linoleum was replacing older flooring that contained asbestos. Mr. Foley offered me a lower cost alternative to have the old flooring removed. However, I chose to have it removed. Foley was very accommodating of the flooring removal schedule in terms of removing the washer and dryer in advance and installing the new flooring soon thereafter. The installation went very well and I am very happy with the new floor.

One project I oversaw there was a huge differential in the level of the floor making a kitchen countertop and sink not sit level. The team worked tirelessly to get it right.
Another project involved redoing an entire bathroom for a handicapped individual who still wanted the heavy glass shower doors for his lady and the rainhead shower but with zero thresholds, lower controls and a grab bar encircling the large tile shower. It looked terrific when reconstructed and totally custom.

There is a constant eye to overall safety, improvements in electrical and lighting, and reduction of fire hazards...alll of which add to the overall value of this company.

I wanted to support a local family owned store and it happened to be my contractor's father owned it. Small bonus they allowed my dogs to shop with me so as not to leave them unattended at home with a house full of contractors and open doors. And I was happy to hear I'd get a discount as it was his son doing the job. I specifically told them my budget was fixed and explained I needed to buy a whole bathroom. They assigned me a sales rep who took me upstairs first to look at countertops and toilets. She seemed attentive and helpful and followed me around explaining products and writing down my choices as we went.

She then took me back downstairs to look at tiles. She gave me a place to sit and look at samples. As I hemmed and hawed about different tiles I would check in with the sales rep what each tile would mean for my total invoice. She did a whole lot of calculations and kept coming up with numbers. I chose a tile based on what it brought the total cost of my bathroom to and got my heart set on one only to find out as I was checking out that they had not included the stuff I told them I wanted to buy while we were upstairs picking things out! The final invoice they gave me was only for tiles and related items. I found this very aggravating and they were very unapologetic. They were acting as if "upstairs" was a completely different store even though I had travelled through it with this same sales rep who had supposedly been writing a log of all of my chosen items. It was as if what happened upstairs with this rep had been on another planet. As I had been looking at tiles for a very long time and had my heart set on that one tile by that point I moved forward although already significantly over budget and reminded them I was buying a whole bathroom - not just tiles so please add EVERYTHING up.

I followed up later when the toilet had not arrived and they had no order on record. They forgot to order the toilet which put extra stress into the remodelling process. The toilet arrived and later I got a call asking for payment for the toilet!!!! I was furious. Not only had I been given a quote that did not include all of the items I picked up stairs with the sales rep, but after I had to remind them to add the stuff from upstairs they still had never included the toilet in my budget quote and never ordered the toilet. Again they were completely unapologetic.

In the end I exchanged a recessed shower box for a diverter valve - an exchange that I was originally told should have left me with a $20 credit to my account. Yet they insisted for almost 2 years that I owed them money. I finally paid them their money to shut them up. I will never use them again. Their prices are too high (and I supposedly had a discount) to deal with such unapologetic customer service with a total lack of attention to detail.

The job went extremely well. Chuck Foley was a very effective contractor, and any issues that arose were dealt with promptly and professionally by him and/or his crew and subs. When a plumber was needed to disconnect (and reconnect) the stove, he was on the scene punctually and didn't hold up the whole process by being unavailable. When the countertop was not beveled as specified, the matter was completely resolved within two days. On the whole, a top-of-the-line experience, as good as any we could imagine! Also, a word of thanks to the folks in the retail areas - very competent and friendly.

I'm very satisfied with the work. The floor in my new studio is beautiful. I plan to hire them again to tile another adjacent room. Chuck and his team are a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a tile contractor.

Judging from the reactions of all who have seen it since it was a huge success. The choice of countertop, its profile and coloration work so well with existing cabinetry and the new sink and faucet are a true enhancement to the space. Good job well done.

Our experience with Foley's Faucetorium was a nightmare and we continue to tell everyone we know NOT to use them. We had a crack in 2 stategically placed tiles in our Master bathroom shower that we had to keep grouting because they could potentially cause a leak. Because replacing just 2 tiles was not an option and we wanted to make sure that nothing else was leaking, we decided to have the whole shower area replaced. Since we liked the white subway -style tiles that we had on the shower floor and the Carrerra marble tiles that were on the walls and threshold and because they were fairly easy to replace, we just decided to have Foley's replace everything just as it was but with a new shower door as large as the area would allow and newer fixtures. They came to measure twice (Chuck Foley, the owner) and said it would be an easy job and take about 10 days . We picked out our tiles and fixtures and door style which was easy because they were the same or virtually the same as we had before. Foleys came in March and tore out the old shower and tiles and put in the new fixtures using their plumber without incident except for a delay in getting the plumber. Then they began putting in the new tiles and I happen to go up and check on them that afternoon and noticed that they were putting tiles around the frame to my bathroom window! Who does that? And how ridiculous to think that was the plan? Apparently, Chuck permitted his nephew, who had never done this before, to be the project manager and to tile the wallls. So now we had to wait for them to order more tiles and take the old ones down and put more up! And they had to replace the window's wood trim. Then it was time for them to put in a new threshold and we see that it is smaller than we had before by about 2 inches! And we were were looking for the area to stay the same or become a bit larger, not smaller! We were now already way behind schedule so we begrugingly let that go (won't do that on my next project!) On week 3-4, they arrived with the shower doors and I couldn't believe my eyes...the doors were twice as large as measured despite the fact that these were custom doors measured twice by the owner! And he,Chuck, was in denial and argueing about it. He thought that was ok. It was then that we thought there was something seriously wrong with Chuck's reasoning ability. Luckily, we had a copy of the measurements and a photo of the shower area "before" to remind them of what they were to be doing! It was obvious to anyone that these doors wouldn't fit on the threshold , not even close! So now they tell us that we will have to wait another week for more doors to be created. We waited and waited and waited...they finally arrive 3 plus weeks later and are installed. And then....there you see it..the handle on the door is the wrong handle and is installed upside down! So we have to wait weeks for the correct handle to arrive! Never again! The only reason I didn't give them all "F's" for this project is that they took off 10% off the bill for any "inconvenience"!! That does not make up for any of this annoyance and my blood pressure rises everytime I look at that smaller shower!

I was completely happy with the outcome, but I think they were a little high-priced, and communication with the home store is less than ideal.

Chuck was very good to deal with and was clearly very knowledgeable when he came by for the estimate. Our room is wide enough to require two sheets (given the product roll width) and Chuck helped explain how to best orient the flooring for seam placement. Chuck gave very clear instructions for me to relay to my general contractor about how to prep the floor and how to situate the cabinetry (keeping the island 'floating' for example). Installation was done ahead of the scheduled time (after a phone call from Chuck checking if that was OK) to accommodate our contractor's overall schedule - this was a nice touch. Installer was a father and son (that may have been a subcontractor) who were working on teaching the younger fellow the methods of the business. Job was completed in mere hours and everything was cleaned up nicely at the finish. Foley's was able to supply and install the material for less than another local competitor was going to charge me for the material alone. I'd highly recommend Foley and Sons Floor and Tile based on my solid surface flooring experience.
