Brooks Harrington

Brooks did a great job on each of the projects that I hired him to do. He was punctual, courteous, and very reasonable cost-wise.

He does extremely good work. He is very thorough and detail oriented. He wont leave a job unless it is done really well.

The timing was such that Brooks did the work while we were away. We had a lot of communication beforehand, however, so I think we were both clear on what needed to be done. (We emailed back and forth and sent a detailed sketch.) The only surprise was that it came out looking even better than I had imagined it could.

From the initial quote to the final cleanup, Brooks was professional, courteous, and efficient. He came to the house, measured the windows, and provided a very competitive quote. He responded to all of our questions quickly and quickly changed the quote as we changed the specifications. The quote was for Harvey windows, but he also quoted other brands when we asked. He always explained why he preferred the Harveys to the alternatives
He started work when he said, left the place clean and weather-tight each night, and finished when he said. The job was three days at most. He was so careful with the casements that we didn't have to repaint immediately. (Haven't yet.) He took care of the window delivery at the beginning of the job and the waste hauling at the end. A very pleasant and affordable experience. The Harvey windows are great and everything he promised and more.

We were initially hesitant about having this work done in the winter since they would need to turn off the heat sometimes but he insisted it would only be for a while and they were flexible. However, one day that I needed to stay home in the morning, his HVAC person insisted I was holding them up even though I had let them know I would be there. Then they left out the duct to my kitchen overnight. When I let the contractor know about this the next day, his response was, "Quit your whining". He does good work but definitely has a major attitude problem. Get the work done in the summer and there should be no issues with him.
