GILBERT'S PAINTING

Gilbert and his team were outstanding! Gilbert was professional and easy to work with. I had a very tight time-frame and he was easy to communicate with and reliable. He made a quick pre-visit to assess the project, then within days he and his team did a terrific job, were polite, neat, and timely. All this and without overcharging. It was a pleasure to work with Gilbert and I will definitely call him again for my next project.

I got Gilbert's number from a friend in Boston, he had used him several times for interior and exterior work on this Houses. He was not on Angie's List but her should be and I hope he will join. I called Gilbert on a Saturday morning and he came to my house to look at the job that same afternoon. Gilbert was very friendly and after looking at the rooms he was able to give me a estimate right on the spot. The price sounded very fair to me so I hired Gilbert for the job and he was even able to start that Monday. I have an old house (1902) and all the ceilings needed some skim coating to smooth them out before they could be painted, the ceilings of the three upstairs rooms also had water stains that needed to be specially treated. The previous owners of the house were both heavy smokers and it took several coats of paint to cover the years of smoking, I think the drop ceiling in the kitchen took 5 or 6 coats before the yellow stopped showing through. All the old wood trim and kitchen cabinets needed a lot of filler to cover marks and scratches before they could be painted. Gilbert only used the best materials and uses Ben Moore paint, the paint job came out beautiful and the guys worked very clean and neat. They removed all pictures from the walls and only moved all furniture away from the wall only as much as they needed for workspace. Everything got covered with plastic. I couldn't find any paint drops or smears anywhere on my floor, carpet or furniture. When I came home from work in the evening the place was clean and there was no mess to clean up after. The plastic covering on the furniture was removed and all material got put away so I could still enjoy my evening. I was very happy with the excellent paint job Gilbert did and I'm already scheduled in his calendar for outside work on my house next Spring.
