AVS – Audio Video Solutions Inc

Don't be fooled-this company appears they know what they are doing until you have to call another company to service their products because AVS does not return your phone calls and acts in a childish manner. Basically we trusted them because our builder referred us to AVS. They beyond oversold us on a type of receiver that was not remotely what our needs were. We wanted basic surround sound in our rooms that could be easily controlled and accessed. We were not even able to turn "ON" the system for all the rooms at the same time or control the rooms by one master control. That is just a part of how terrible this system was. Our lower level separate whole surround sound and smart tv was not hooked up properly or programmed whatsoever for backup (as promised and items purchased), as well as a convoluted way to turn on and off the system that randomly worked. When they installed a sound system on our boat the rest of the electrical system was all messed up after the AVS install. The computers would not connect, had the weakest signal strength (even though I paid AVS to add boosters/antennas) and I was unable to work or use it more than a 50/50 chance. Needless to say I spent many thousands of dollars on useless/defective equipment, had to hire a "Professional" to help with this tragic mess, and spend thousands more to replace the equipment AVS installed as it was non-sharing with any other manufacturers. I was told by several other "professionals" -other sound companies, that what I had was obsolete for home use. I hope my examples help to explain the knowledge or lack thereof of AVS's so called expertise. Note: this is just a brief synopsis. In a nutshell, I was oversold a sound system that should have been like a SONOS system that had all the capabilities that were requested by us in the initial consultation thus costing considerably less and should never have trusted AVS. I would NEVER recommend AVS-you will just have to get other companies to service and replace the inferior equipment you have purchased from AVS, where the price is too high in more ways than one. The customer does not come first with AVS, just their GREED! They should be ashamed of themselves when they look in the mirror.
