They're fine.  They have a very reputable company.  I'm still using them for other work.  They were a little expensive than the others.

We now have a really beautiful, uniformly green lawn that Joyce Landscaping will keep in fine shape for the years ahead. Chris Joyce and his team are the most professional contractors with whom we have ever had the pleasure to work.

I had the pleasure of having Justin O'Connor oversee the work. Justin is a reliable professional who works with his customer (me!) to address any concerns, talk about what would work best, provides his professional judgement and expertise to have the best outcome. As someone who is not a garderner, having expert opinion was really important to me. Also, as the property is located on a pond I had environmental concerns and Justin thoroughly provided natural alternatives to ensure the installed plantings and lawn would flourish. Additionally, Justin provided documentation of the area of mitigation plantings to ensure requirements were met. 
 Justin priced out jobs separately so I could prioritize the work, which was most helpful.
The work was done in a timely manner. I called Justin that two (of the many plantings) did not do well and Justin replaced them immediately.   The property was left clean at the end of the day and I was kept updated throughout the process. Justin's ideas were wonderful and the property looks great. I would highly recommend Joyce Landscape and thank Justin for his hard work, attention to detail and reliable service!

This was a new property for us - a vacation home -  and it is a rather large estate so, I went with Joyce for the initial winter clean up because that was who the former owner used.  I did request an estimate but, did not receive one.  Instead, a crew was sent out and the work was done in two days.  The quality of the work was fine - not exceptional but, nothing to complain about either.
Then the bill came - $14,478.00.  
I asked for an itemized bill and was not provided one for eight weeks.  The itemized bill showed that they charged $3000
to remove the rhodies.  These were large, nice, 10 year old specimens which they evidently carefully removed, wrapped in burlap and then sold to other customers for $150+ a piece.   To be fair, I got this information second hand from a woman who works in their office and still works in their office so, maybe she is just bitter?  However, if that is true, that's a cool $4.5K - which is fine but, don't charge me to remove them if that is the case.
I was also charged a disposal fee of $800 - for the rhodies and the scrub oaks - Hmmmmm.  We own over 40 acres of wooded property and I asked them to leave the pulled trees on site.  And, I've already addressed the rhododendrons.  
I did dispute the bill and they were adament that it was justified.  I had three independant companies submit estimates for the same work and none were over $5500 so, I paid them half and have not heard from them again.  My current landscaper brings in a crew for two days three times a year and I pay less for those three trips than that one job from Joyce.  
In short - grossly overpriced for what you get and maybe a little smarmy as well.

The first time I contacted Joyce Landscaping was because the Landscaper I had been using, for a couple of years, did not do the work that we had contracted for. Joyce Landscapers were in the neighborhood. I went over and asked them about taking care of my home. The employee I spoke with said he would have someone get in touch with me. I received a call almost immediately. We met and went over what I wanted done for that year.
Every year since I receive a contract from Joyce Landscaping. It lists all the services they offer. I check the ones that I want for the year.
Then they bill me when the work is completed.
When I needed new stairs, rails and patio I called Joyce Landscaping. They came out and we discussed options. They drew up an estimate listing everything that would be used and the price. I did change the plan and they drew up another plan. They did not push me to get it done. They waited until I was satisfied with everything. I did ask many questions. They went to work. They sent me pictures of it being constructed and pictures when it was completed. The stairs and the patio came out better than I imagined. I am very happy with their work.  
Snow plowing. They send out a contract with prices for the number of inches. If you want to start the plowing at a different number of inches then the standard contract Joyce Landscaping will re-write the contract to include the change you have requested.(ie: 6 inches or above). Joyce also stakes the driveway and stores the stakes over the Summer.
I have been very happy with all the services I have received from Joyce Landscaping and plan to continue doing business with them for years to come.

They were there when they said they would be and done when they said they would be. And, they worked very hard when there. There was no goofing off or doing anything we thought was taking advantage of us. They were fantastic!
They met with us and listened to what we wanted. They then came back with a proposal that was more detailed than any oher landscaper I have ever worked with. They made modifications as we met and then implemented the design. They were a pleasure to work with.

They were professional and did very good work. It was a good value.
