Their service is good and the techs that came out were professional but I’m having the same problem over and over again. Me and my wife paid top dollar to have Sigma come out and install a new heating and Central AC unit. We had it done in April and it is December now and we’ve had to call them 3 times over noise while the heat is running. They are for most part very responsive but we feel this problem should’ve been rectified the first two trips back to our home. They come out and temporarily fix it but it happens again a month or 2 later. For the amount of money we spent we feel as though this is unacceptable. Furthermore the adjuster Rich Bernard had promised us an AC outside cover that would fit our unit. I assumed it would be thrown in because of our hassles it was not. They wanted to charge us $120 which we were upset about, but were going to reluctantly pay. We make an appointment for him to come by and drop it off and he never showed up. We completely regret dealing with this company and will probably not have them service us in the future once our warranty is up.

They were fast and punctual. They had to come back a second time but that wasn't their fault. Seemed pricey but also not their fault. Air conditioner needed freon recharge and some other pieces needed to be replaced.

the installation crew arrived on time as promised. The physical unit was installed and the 19 year old old American Standard was removed and disposed. Then the plumber and electrician arrived and completed the installation the following day. This unit uses outside air via pvc venting and inlet. There were a few questions on the operation of my programmable thermostat. I was away and was contacted to resolve the situation. Following the installation we had a 35 degree night and had a chance to get the unit to perform. Wow! What a difference. Instead of luke warm air from the registers, we actually had warm to hot air. This unit will keep us warm and for the next year, Dan, the service manager will be contacted and Sigma Mechanical will provide the warranty service. If they are competetive in service pricing I will consider them for our future service needs. A very strong team experience, led by Rich Bernard, our Sigma heating consultant. We are experiencing an unseasonably warm series of days right now, but that wiil soon change.

Everything went great. The staff were all prompt and courteous. We made our purchases through the MA Saves program so there was a lot of additional paperwork for us to get the rebates etc and they were prompt and able to get that completed when asked. We will definitely work with them again.

They were amazing! I dealt with Rich Bernard from the very beginning and he was extremely professional, responsive and friendly. I instantly felt confident that he and his team would do a great job. His team was also very professional and trustworthy. They left our house immaculate everyday and were patient with me when I had crazy questions or concerns. I can't stress enough what an incredible experience I had with Sigma and Rich. They made my life easy when dealing with them and were always on time and responded immediately to any emails or calls during the process. I am only giving an F for price because he left without either units working. Had they been repaired, I would have given a C for price (with C meaning "fair" but ok if the work was completed successfully).
Calling the company was a positive experience. Someone answered the phone, which is good - and often not the case. He was able to schedule me in that day, but I opted for the next day. He explained their rates, and I accepted. The provider came at the time promised.
When he came, I said that the AC worked last year, but I installed Honeywell Wifi Thermostats and now the cooling does not work, so it is probably a wiring mistake that I made behind the thermostat. He did some preliminary testing (went outside, and made sure the compressors would turn on, which they did).
After not making much progress on the first unit, he was able to turn on the second unit by jumping it at the thermostat, and said that my problem was that there was no C-wire, (and I noticed that I was incorrectly using the Y wire to power the thermostat, so there was no actual Y-wire to turn on the cooling). He said that someone would have to run a new C wire. I checked online, and Honeywell said that if you are missing a C-wire, just move the G wire on the furnace/blower to the C terminal, jump the Y to the G, and then on the thermostat end, move the green wire to the C. That will work, but gives up the ability to manually toggle the fan. He called back to the office, and they told him not to do that modification. After he left, I did that myself and it fixed it. His debugging of this unit was useful a it put me on the right track to fix it myself, though I still had to fix it myself.
I then said "Now that you were able to jump that and get it to manually work - why not go back to the first unit and see if you can jump it at the thermostat and get it to turn on like you did this one?" He tried it, but was not able to get it to turn on. He said that he thinks it is a relay, and he cannot get one this week, but could order it and come back next week (the relay is $11 Amazon prime with $3.99 1-day overnight shipping, by the way).
He presented me with the bill. It was $356. I asked why it was that much, and he said he was here for 3 hours. I said he was here tor 2.5 hours. He said that their policy is to round up if they go over 15 minutes on the hour. I told him that I could see paying for 2.5 hours, but since he didn't solve the problem, and since he was not very efficient trying to solve it, that rounding down makes more sense than rounding up. He agreed to change the bill to two-hours, so I paid $256.
After he left, I jumped the RC+G+Y wires, and the AC came on. I am not sure why he was not able to do this. Probably he forgot to include the G wire in the jump so he never heard the fan come on, or he had the cover of the air handler off so the safety-switch kept things from powering up. In any case, this should have been one of the first things that he tried. This is an example of where another repair person may have tried it first, and solved the problem within the first hour.
Just now I got my multimeter and noticed that the RC and R wires were reversed because RC+W was making 28 volts and R+Y were making 28 volts but not RC+Y and not R+W. So I swapped them. I then had G+Rc, W+Rh, C+Rc, and Y+Rc all making 28 volts. Now I am not a pro, but it would seem like this could be some sort of standard thing to check for.
I put the thermostat back on, waited a few minutes for the timeout to be past, and it is working.

The service was punctual and very professional. However, I thought the cost of $351 may be a little high. The time required to perform the service was about 1.5 hours by one person. Driving time was about 1/2 an hour to and from the company office to our residence using directions from Google Maps. The service cost was $351 and included a 10% discount to us for future service during the next year. The cost was $351 or $234 per hour per person not including travel time or $175 per hour per person including travel time. In the event we do not use the 10% discount over the next year their price may be a little high. The service was excellent and we will use SIGMA again and recommend them highly. They did send a follow up greeting card which was very thoughtful.

Came in a hurry when I smelled a burning smell in the master suite followed by a horrible noise overhead. Fortunately, there was no fire, but parts of the furnace were broken. He had it fixed in a short time and was very polite and professional. He also took the time to explain to me the cause of the damage and the repair, which I greatly appreciated.

I was satisfied with their work. They did a good job. They were on schedule. They gave me a quote and that is what it came to. They had a deadline to get it in because of the rebate situation- it had to be installed before a certain date and they completed the job on time.

We called for a quote, already having been told we needed a new system at our last repair. Rich came out quickly and got all the information he needed and sent us a quote by the next day. Once we said we were going to have them do it they ordered the system and were out a week and a half later, it would have been sooner if it wasn't the holiday week. They arrived early in the morning and worked through the next two and a half days to get all the work done. Rich came by each day to check on the process and to make sure we didn't have any questions or concerns. It went as smoothly as such a process could, given no heat for a night and no hot water for two days in December.

I called on the date that service was provided with complaint that the heat in my entire house wasn't working. I called Sigma at about 830am and someone came to the house by 9am. He looked at our heating system and found that a thermocouple was damaged/not working. He had the part and replaced it immediately. The heating system was fixed and finally was getting heat to the entire house! All in about 30 minutes! The cost was definitely significant considering it took only 20-30 minutes to diagnose and fix the problem, but heat is essential. I am very glad they could come so soon!

Our gas fired boiler heats our water and provides heat to the house we recently bought. It was installed in 2005, but on November 6th it shut down and we lost heat and hot water. I called Sigma and they sent a technician the same day. He found a small crack in the boiler's outer plate which was exposing the wiring to high heat. He repaired the problem but indicated we should replace the boiler because it was a high quality boiler and not sized right for our house, both reasons why it burned out due to overuse. The same day Sigma sent over a technician who quoted us a replacement boiler (Lochinvar 95% AFUE Knight Boiler) for $8,390 after a $1,500 rebate. The next day our older repaired boiler shut down again and this time Sigma would not restart it due to dangerous gas emissions. We were away for the weekend but Sigma sent a team out first thing Monday to install the new boiler. A team of two worked all day to remove the old boiler and install the new one. After a successful installation we started to notice the water took longer to heat up and didn't last very long so we called Sigma who promptly sent someone out to fix it. The new boiler was improperly wired on installation but the problem was satisfactorily resolved. We found the company to be very professional and the quality of service excellent. Given the high volume of heating issues as the winter season kicks in, Sigma was very responsive and helpful. We are very pleased with the new boiler and the attention Sigma gave us.

They got it working, but something came loose and it stopped working again. They same technician came back out, promptly, and at no cost, and it has been fixed ever since.

From the start where Rich came to quote us the system pricing, to the actual install things went as expected from a company of Sigma's calibre.? The install team were courtious, professional and made a point to keep us posted with at all steps in the process.? They were punctual, clean and always left the job looking like they had never been here.

I fired up my AC for the first time and it failed to start. Called 3 repair companies, Sigma being the closest one. Sigma was the only one to call back (it was a hot, busy week just before the 4th of July), and they had a guy out there the same day who showed me how the compressor was leaking and rusted out and that it had failed. He said the office would be in touch with repair and replace estimates.
In the meantime I started calling other compaies to see if I could get a second quote for comparison, and nobody bothered to return my calls.
The Monday after the 4th, I called the office and the owner said he was digging out from all the work piled up over the holiday weekend. He called me back an hour later with a price to fix the unit and a price to replace it. Replacement was cheaper due to the high labor cost of repair, so I chose that option. He ordered it on Monday and called Thursday morning and was at my house an hour later. 3 hours later it was done.
The workers were very courteous and professional, as was everyone I spoke to at the office. I would highly recommend them and I will use them again if/when the need arises.
