We hired Bob Deeley to tile two bathroom floors and showers. Both bathrooms had been damaged from winter flooding, so both had to be repaired simultaneously. Not ideal, and since both showers in the house would be off limits for the duration of the work, timing was critical. We had a few tilers quote the job, some at lower cost (this was an expensive job), but Bob's assurance that he would be able to start right away was a deciding factor. Unfortunately, what we didn't realize that meant was that he would send unskilled labor (who did not speak english) to do the job, with Bob showing up occasionally to check in. From incorrect patterns to bad cuts and rough tile edges, the job was sloppy. More concerning, we had electric radiant heat installed in the floor of the master bath - apparently incorrectly, since all of those floor tiles began to loosen and pop up soon after the job was done. We've had other tile contractors come in to look at the work since then, and each has commented on the various things they did wrong. When we brought things to his attention during his visits Bob didn't seem too concerned, and said they'd all be corrected. In fact he was somewhat dismissive. Well, after nearly 2 years of trying to get him to fix or refund, he's done neither. Do yourself a favor and find another tiler.
