This job would not have gone as well if Jim did not do it. Initially, we planned to convert to gas and Jim came over to look things over, and gave us oral estimates on its various parts and options. He also pointed out some expenses and options we had not considered (and that our HVAC engineer hadn't, either). The guy from the other company that bid gave us a ballpark figure, piggybacking on what we said Jim and our HVAC guy had come up with, but did not actually visit. When we changed our minds and decided to stay with oil heat, Jim gave us a written estimate right away, again bringing up some options to help reduce our costs (the entire job, including the other contractors' work, was a little over $12K). He was trustworthy and professional. He did a clean, neat, timely job but really showed his worth by guiding the coordination with the other two contractors and steeping in to cover, shall we say, pitfalls in their communication styles. A good experience.
