Basement Waterproofing
Cox's Basement Waterproofing was hired on 1/10/07 to waterproof the basement of my house. I have a contract that was originally for $3,000.00. On the contract is an illustration of the walls that were to be involved in the process. I have a handwritten statement on the contract that reads: "Lifetime warranty on all". After a day of working in my basement I was told that they had to tear up the middle of the basement to put in additional pipes. The charge for that was an additional $3,200.00. The workers were smoking cigarettes in my basement which stunk up the entire house. They left food wrappers in the basement as well as huge chunks of concrete that I had to remove. They barely cleaned up at all. On 08/07/07 I called Cox's because I had water in my basement coming from one of the walls they had worked on. On the contract it shows that the wall was to be waterproofed up to the corner. They stopped about 5 feet from the end of that wall. A series of calls continued after that and each time Mr. Flannery had another reason why he couldn't come and see what was going on or send someone. He became extremely rude when I became frustrated at the lack of response. On 08/12/07 the foreman from the job came to look at the basement. I asked him why they had stopped at that point and didn't continue to the end of the wall. He said he didn't know and then described how the waterproofing could be extend to the end of the wall. I continued to call Mr. Flannery until January of 2008. I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. No response. I wrote him and called him for the next four months. He became very crude and referred to this as "the job that won't go away". I continue to have water coming into my basement from the same spot on the wall. The drainage they put in the middle of the floor is raised up higher than the rest of the floor so that when it does flood the water won't even flow to the drains! Mr. Flannery also has a plumbing business, so I would advise anyone to look out for that company as well! My guess is that his dishonesty extends to everything he's involved with!

Basement Waterproofing
He was supposed to be finished on 15th of March, now there is concrete in my driveway, and they failed to address my needs. They left a man whole cover off for over a week.
