Be careful they work for commission. Had them quote me for a clogged drain. Was charged over $1000 for a camera to come out and a them to try and unclog it with their drill. Video they showed was terrible quality and I didn’t receive a copy. After trying to unclog the line which they were un able to. Another tech came out and told me it would be $11k to relay line. I ended up putting the project on the back burner for a few years. Just had the sewer line re assessed by Rooterman and they were able to clear my drain and also showed me a video of the sewer line they also gave me a HD with the video of the drain. There was no collapse and only a few roots…

I'll start with my understanding for tough jobs. I've had my share. With that said let's began. After uncloging my drain they broke my sewer line. I understand the tool used may and can cause damage but we didn't even that far. After banging and banging on the pipe. Never used a wrench or ant sort of technique to avoid what now is possibly a 20k job. That mistake was never mentioned , after completing the job it was never a simple walk through or show of work. After reaching out expecting a solution I was given the old "sorry we're covered" the manager at the location in Providence is unprofessional and offers no help in properly treating a customer. I hired the "pros" trying to avoid this exact headache. Needless to say we will be taking thus matter to court. Worst decision I made as a new home owner...... I sure they will respond with a polite computer generated response. I wish the service was as such... Save yourself the headache and ignorance. Got ANYWHERE but here.

Outrageously bad price and they strong arm you into it by not telling you til you're $100 in for the cost of someone coming out. I paid $600 for labor alone (I provided the part) for a job that took under an hour, because the technician told me it was a huge job that would take the afternoon. When I reached out to complain about this later, the manager Joe was not only unhelpful but snarky and defended the practice that took advantage of me. $600 for a 1 hour valve replacement job that I since got quoted at a third of the price. The only reason I used this service was name recognition and again my own naivety that I'm sure shines like a beacon for people like Joe. Do not use, rude and opportunistic.

This company will rip you off. They don’t give prices over the phone. But when they come out they quote a RIDICULOUS price, the higher your need is the more they charge. I had a clogged bathroom sink. They saw water sitting in the sink, so the price became $550. But then they heard this is a rental property, suddenly they have to charge me a “commercial” rate. I asked them about the rate, they say it’s set pricing. This is how I know they rip people off. If this is set pricing, I would you is have gotten a price over the phone. The guy just looked up at the ceiling and pulled a number out of thin air. First and last time I’m calling them. Giving 2 stars because he did get the job done.

The hard working folks who did the dirty work were great... thanks! However, once I had to deal with the front office or management- things got bad. We had a repeat issue with our toilet so after the second time they took a video in the pipes to diagnose the problem so we could fix it and avoid a third visit. They never emailed me the video from the visit and I called countless times over the next 6 months or so. Never got called back, never got an email returned, and never received the video. When I finally did get in touch with someone they told me that videos are routinely discarded after 2 weeks... so mine was non-existent at that point. I emailed the local manager, a customer service manager and the director of public relations to discuss what a disappointing experience I had- and got nothing in response. They don't care! So frustrating and unprofessional, which is why I'm writing this and encouraging others to look elsewhere for plumbing problems. Do not use them!

Drain unplugged of sludge,. dirt, and a small tree root. Once cleaned, sludge and dirt came gushing out with water for about 15 minutes. Slowly clear ground water flowed out and kept flowing for two days.

Rhino Rooter was great. He determined where the problem was in the line and then cleared it. He explained why it happened and how to avoid a repeat of the problem. Could not have gone better. Really nice person.

I cleared the way for the service man. Removed the clean out plug and set up lighting for him. All that needed to be done was run the snake down the pipe to clear the blockage. He arrived and took a look at what needed to be done. He then gave me a price of $475.00 for 10 mins. of work ... I told him to pack it up and take off. I'll do it myself. The he told me he could do it for $225.00, still allot of money but I told him ok. 10 mins later he was done and I payed him cash.

DO NOT USE ROTO ROOTER!!! The plumber showed up two hours late, asked for my help when installing the sink, installed the wrong sink drain without the stopper and I believe I was charged excessively for this service. It may have been my fault for not shopping around, however I believed Roto Rooter to be a credible, reliable company, but I was proven wrong. Plumber charged $750 for 1.5hrs of work and $40 in parts. I was originally given a window for this service to be conducted between 8 AM and 12 PM, and at 12 PM the plumber did not arrive so I contacted the office and was told they were running late and would not show up until sometime before 3 PM. Luckily, I took the day off work and was able to hang around. Being late in the day, and having scheduled them to come out the week prior I expected a fair labor quote before the work was performed, having reviewed the average cost for this type of job after the work was performed I learned the average cost is between $250 and $500. I feel cheated, taken advantage of, and angry as I was now placed in a bind and needed my kitchen sink installed having had my cabinets and countertops done the day before. I would highly recommend getting a local plumber, or handyman to do the same work. I learned my lesson and will never, ever, never, use Roto Rooter again.

Was responsive, however a number of issues. Didn't arrive in time window stated and didn't call in advance as promised. Charged $700!! for 2 drains and 1 1/4 hour visit. Others would have charged between $250 to $400 (I checked). Left couple stains on carpet. They did refund $100 due to problems. 3 months later 1 of 2 drains was as bad as before cleaning. The other is fine. I will never use again

Not good .They charged me $700 saying that's a standard charge for removing a toilet bowl which they broke the base of and told me it was my problem as it was old. They also said I would get a follow up call to set up appointment to review the pipes with acamera Never heard from them again. I pried with t2 other companies explaining what the issue was and was quoted between $250 and $400 .I wish I had called the other companies before Roti rooter . I have used them in the past but never again A TOTAL RIP OFF

The first time they came, they could not unclog the drain because my improperly installed disposal was giving them electric shocks. They actually did not charge me a thing, not even a fee for coming to my house. Amazing! So I got the disposal fixed and had them come out again. They were very professional and got the job done quickly. I have the feeling they may be more expensive than some plumbers, but I thought their service was worth it.

When our basement flooded I got Rotor-Rooter's name off of Angie's List. They have an A rating. I got a representative when I called who sent a consultant to our house within an hour of my call. Conor evaluated the area and called my insurance company. He up set the water removal to be done. Manny and Chris arrived two days later. They removed the damaged rugs and walls, set up drying equipment and monitored the equipment for three days until the moisture reading of the studs were within normal limits. Rotor-Rooter sent all of the information including pictures to my insurance company. I did not have to do anything. They did a great job and they did it fast.

Steve succeeded in unclogging our basement drain saving us the need for a major job.and expense. The cost of the job was higher than we'd expected but when the plumbing isn't working, there's little choice.

We thought that perhaps something was clogging the pipes leaving the machine. Apparently, a programming module in the dishwasher wasn't working and too expensive to replace. We ended up getting a new dishwasher on our own.
