Marcio was friendly and nice and the store had a decent selection. However, when we had issues (we had a billing mistake) and questions (we never we told our choices for the floor transitions), they were impossible to get a straight answer out of. It took weeks waiting for a refund to our credit card, and finally we gave up and had them send us a check, which was what they wanted to do to save on transaction fees. We wrote and called repeatedly about the floor transitions -- we had no idea what our choices were, what they would look like, if we could have any input. The company never got back to us. Our contractor, who was using Post Road Vinyl to do the installation, also tried to get answers out of them for the transitions. Given that we were paying for this and it would be in our house, it was stressful and frustrating that they were ignoring us. The floor installation was fine, but the backsplash tile installation was very sloppy and the tiles were not level. There were dozens of places where the tiles were pushed in further than the tiles around it, or jutting out more on one side. When you turned on the under-cabinet lights, it became super obvious with all the shadows the uneven tiles cast. We did have extra tiles and they were able to fix/replace some of the worst spots. But there are still 7 or 8 locations where you can see small variations. Just very sloppy work.

I cannot express how disappointed I am. They came highly recommended by friends so I didn't check Angie's List. The showroom experience was the most pleasant part of the process as they are very helpful and don't rush you. Unfortunately the tile I picked out would not be available for many weeks and there was nothing else I wanted in BPV's displays so I went to AJ Rose's showroom to see if they had anything I liked and they had another brand that BPV doesn't display but AJ Rose could not install in the time frame needed (I had already given permission to the BPV recommended sub-floor installer that he could cut the toilet drain so as to install the subfloor properly which meant we had no toilet on the first floor until the floor was finished). BPV was able to order it for me.
I am not sure whether the installers were hungover or wanted to start their weekend early but they did not wait for me to get home to sign off on the job, just left the bill on the counter. I got a call from Post Rd while I was in the car and said I would send them a check. The next day, upon closer inspection I realized there were gaps where there should be grout all along the perimeter of my kitchen and grout on my cabinets and grouty foot prints on my wood floor in the back hall. I tried to be very polite and told Peter of Post Rd how unhappy I was and asked if the installers had run out of grout (they obviously had enough to get on my cabinets) and if not could I please have the the remainder to patch some missing parts. He said they should have some left he would get it from them when they next returned to the store and he would come look at the floor. He came while I was not home and claimed it looked terrible because my toe kicks needed replacing. The expected grout never arrived, just regular calls asking where the check was sent, which I purposely held back for a month because I realized I would never see the grout if I sent the check (he was all ready paid for the tile). I realize this was passive aggressive but I kept on thinking he would say "what can I do to make this right?" I never got the grout I finally I just sent the check because I wanted the whole thing behind me. I had to call the manufacturer to find out how to get dried grout off (Soak with ammonia and scrub vigorously with a nylon pad). My daughters and I spent a morning scrubbing misplaced grout, not fun.

THE FLOOR WAS INSTALLED EARLIER THAN PROMISED! THE INSTALLER POINTED OUT THE TRIM AROUND THE SLATE WAS CRACKING AND THEY GAVE ME AN OPTION OF A CREDIT OR TO COME BACK AND REPAIR THE TRIM. I HAD THEM COME BACK AND REPAIR THE TRIM THEY DID A GREAT JOB.
