I hired Noon Turf Care to do fertilizer for my lawn, after seeing their truck in the area.  The prices seemed reasonable from other reviews, and it was late in the 2014 season (so I needed someone quick).  From what I can tell, majority of "treatments" were dry fertilizer, by spreader.  I felt that I could probably do that myself, for much lower cost.  So when the flyer came out for the new year (2015), I wrote on it that I did not want their service anymore and sent an email on their website as well.  So of course, they ignored that and came by in May to apply the first spring treatment (by spreader, of course).  I realized it by seeing the white flag on the lawn.  So, I called them and spent 45 minutes getting shuttled between service and billing.  Each group pointing to the other.  I kept insisting that I wanted to cancel the service and mentioned what I had done to cancel (or try to cancel) already.  Service assured me that "they would take care of the spring treatment, not to worry about".  Billing then said that "whatever Service enters into the sytem will apply".  Well, about a week later, luckily, I was up early to go to a business meeting and saw their truck on my street.  I ran up to the technician and asked why he was there.  I told him that I cancelled the service, and He claimed that he was never told about the cancellation.  He also said that "HQ never tells him anything."  No kidding.
Then, a couple of days ago, I got a bill from them for the spring treatment (with interest for being late).  I called Billing again, and the rep looked in the system.  He claims the only note to cancel service was from the technician.  So no record of my 45 minute phone call with them.  I have names for the rep and the technician on this call, but made the mistake of not getting them during my previous call.
To "look into the matter further", he suggested that I pay half of the bill, while they look for record of the earlier call.  I can't remember what phone number I made the call from, so I am sure there will be no record.  Either way, it shouldn't be this difficult to cancel service with a company (esp one that provides bad service).  If they do this to enough people, I can only imagine the amount of money that they have made off of unwanted services.
Response from Noon Turf Care
"Mr. [Member name], My apologies for the inconveniences related to your cancellation. It seems we have dropped the ball in a multitude of areas with regards to our communications with you. Our services are continuous, much like a utility provider, and stay active until changed or cancelled. Unfortunately we had no record of the written/verbal communication you mentioned, which set the stage for your issues. I reviewed your phone calls into our Service department. We did not cancel nor did we credit your account as promised. Because it was not cancelled, the technician was dispatched to provide service. We offered to split the difference with you on the bill as well, due to not having any record in an effort to share responsibility. I appreciate you letting us know about your experience. Your feedback will help us improve our communications and provided me with valuable input for our teams. I will credit back the payment you made with us yesterday, and remove the remaining balance on the account. I will send an updated statement reflecting both actions, once available, via the email we have on record for your account. I attempted to contact you via telephone this morning to follow up and left a voicemail with my contact information. Please feel free to call me with any further concerns or issues. You can also reach me through our Loyalty Center @ 978-838-3102. Thank you, Cindi Dine Customer Loyalty Team Lead Noon Turf Care"

I have been using Noon Turf for about seven years (lawn treatments, shrub treatments, flea/tic treatments), and have recommended several other customers to them. I believe we spend about $1000+ a year with them.

We did not have any issues until I called with a lawn problem this year. The lawn is turning brown and there are dead spots and I wanted to know why. I also found a couple of grubs.

Noon claims that they come out and help customers to address problems. When I called the service department, they told my that my lawn tech would call me to follow up. He did not follow up. I called again a week later and that service person sent 2 people out to visit my property. They said they would both call and email to provide a strategy for dealing with the brown lawn. They did neither. I emailed service again and the man (I'm not using names) asked me to remind him of the specifics of my problem. Seriously?

That's when I called two other companies to come out and provide quotes for me. I will not be using Noon by the end of this season.

Since I wrote this, the service rep from Noon called me on 5/21 to tell me that one of the two men that visited my house would follow up with me to discuss a lawn strategy on 5/22. They did not call on 5/22.

The technicians always call me and tell me when they are coming, and then leave a detailed note explaining what they did and why. My lawn looks better than it ever has and their fees seem reasonable compares do just buying the products and doing it myself.

They put a sign on the lawn when they came, it has a description of what they have done. They just have one person come out. I like they use natural and organic ingredients. Which is good for my kids and pets.

Terrible..yard never looked good after over a year. Even after I expressed my displeasure, they came out and started servicing my yard again, and send me a bill for over 325 dollars.. I called, challenged the amount. They agreed to reduce it to a more reasonable 200, since they performed services like lime that I hadn't ordered. But they are still sending me bills, and now they are adding interest! Just awful service followed by a 'gotcha' type billing practice since, 'for my convenience, they automatically renewed my services for the new year', even after I refused their calls, emails, and letters. To make matters worse, the day thee guy treated my yard, our new service was completed and there were signs i the new with the new providers name! You think that would prompt a knock on the door or a call. Just a bad experience. T

They started putting down their application late in the spring season when it should have started much earlier around St Patricks day. The applications they put down did not control weeds as I expected they would. The customer service was responsive and professional but it took longer than I thought it should for them to look at the issue.

I NEVER HIRED THESE JOKERS. THEY CAME AND PUT SOME UNKNOWN CHEMICAL ON
MY LAWN WITHOUT ANY FOREKNOWLEDGE OR AUTHORIZATION. They got my name and
address from Fuller Green who did a one time weed treatment I asked for
from my landscaper. Noon left a bill and I am not paying it. If pushed,
I WILL SUE.
Response from Noon Turf Care
"[member name removed] we are very sorry for the misunderstanding. When we purchased Fuller Green we took on their accounts. I believe everything has since been worked out with you. Thank you."

I compared prices to several other fertilization companies and they were surprisingly much cheaper so I went with them for 2013, knowing from many other reviews they try to up-sell you on services.  I have 1.4 acres, so a lot of lawn.  For the past 5 years I had done my own lawn treatments (mostly the Scott's program) and was having problems with lots of crabgrass.   My lawn does look MUCH better this year.  They have come out for additional treatments and evaluations a few times, free of charge.  The guys who come out and do the treatments are friendly and give advice for me to do some basic stuff on my own (instead of paying them do it).  They do try to sell me on additional services occasionally which I have declined.  So my advice is to get several estimates, see how their prices compare and then decline any extra services you don't want.

Matt, owner came to door to sell program and I decided to try it as he appeared pleasant and committed to promising good service and great lawn when done. When work was first done, the yard was looking better, but due to reduction in personal income, decided not to subscribe to the service for the next year and spoke to office telling them so. In the fall, we got a bill for the program again, i called and said we had canceled and that was beginning of the nightmare of unprofessional, rude, caustic personnel and total lack of response from Matt the owner, who I had met in the beginning. Read many of the other comments as this is really a "ditto." Even after all this they continued for 2 years to call and see if I wanted to subscribe to their service again. Never.

Terrible experience- possilby the worst customer service experience I have had
They came to my property after I had discontinued their service.  Refused to refund my credit card. This was not a misunderstanding.  I had called several times and asked for a confirmation that  I was no longer on contract and that I did not want any more services
Absolutely no return phone calls from their customer service managers (4 tries on my part) --they said that  manager was not available .  What kind of company does not return your phone call when you have an issue.  They would not acknowledge that I had discontinued my service contract.  I was beginning to think that I would have to take out a restraining order to keep them away

Have used this service for the past 3 to 4 years with no quality issues. However over the past few years there is a mid year price increase that  now puts their service beyond other companies and thus I have chose to cut ties with them. I am a prompt payer....payment on line at the day of service..... however no consideration is given to this...so BYE
Company pricing model determines their pricing to customers ...... but customers determine if the price charged is appropriated by comparing the  competition

Stay away from this company, they are expensive and their customer service is terrible.  After spending a lot of money last fall following everything Noon had recommended I had high hopes my lawn would look good this year.
First treatment was done when there was still snow on my lawn. As spring came the weeds started taking over the lawn, there are patches in back of the lawn where there is very little grass.  Obviously when they overseeded they decided not to do the entire lawn.  There was no sign of Noon to do the regular weed treatment until Mothers Day weekend when I was having a party.  I asked the technician to come back during the week.  He was rude, left abruptly and never came back again.
I submitted a request online to Noon describing in detail my disappointment with the service asking for a manager to call me back.  Days later John the customer service manager left me a message.  He had obviously not even taken the two minutes to read my complaint or research my situation.  I called back the same day but he is only in the office until 4:30 each day.  I left a voicemail message weeks ago and never heard back again.
What is more disappointing than the technicians lack of professionalism is the fact that their corporate management doesn't even care about their customers.  There are plenty of lawn services to chose from in this area, many for much less money.

Noon always does great work for us. Our lawn looks great and we always trust what they are putting on our lawn is safe for our kids, pets and the environment. I don't mind paying a little more for a better product and far better service than the bigger lawn care companies. They are family owned and it really shows in the way they treat their customers. I would recommend Noon Turf Care to anyone look for a great, environmentally conscious company.

They come out when they said they are going to come out but they are a little bit aggression so you have t be prepared to say no to things and the other thing that I would say negative is and I think this is true for a lot of lawn care companies, they sell you on fertilizer treatments and it's going to be how many dollars for this treatment or certain treatment, so your whole year is going to be all night a couple of hundreds of dollars but that doesn't include any of the other things that you really need to do, so they sort of keep you on the door and have a teaser right in and they tell you and everything and then it ended up being around a $1,000 instead of a few hundred dollars. It's not so terrible as it has to be but you should be aware of it. Overall, it has been a good experience.

Bad lawn service, bad customer service, pushy sales reps that pile on their horrible and ineffective lawn services.  Stay away.  They just want your money.  Search on Angie's for a more reputable provider with better customer service.  The se guys even have 2 entries on Angie's, this one with few "good" reviews, and another riddled with bad reviews.  Seem's like they are trying to game Angie's List...

Destroyed my newly installed lawn.  Whatever they did/didn't do just
kept making the lawn worse.  We followed their recommendations,
purchased their additional services (wonder if we really needed them)
and they kept recommending more!  Buyer beware - this is a bait and
switch operation as far as I'm concerned!
Response from Noon Turf Care
"Our sincerest apologies that you were clearly dissatisfied with our service. For the record we just want to ensure that our side is heard as well. This is what we are indicating occurred: The total that was paid for 2012 was $1,308.46 04/25/12 we advised that the sod was being damaged by pet urine 05/22/12 we advised that the sod was incurring red thread fungus we recommended a fungicide to treat this but it was declined. 09/25/12 we stated again that there were more areas of pet damage and the fungus was still there. Also, the sod was showing signs of heat stress because the sprinkler did not appear to be watering that particular area. 10/03/12 we noted "There are several issues with the turf in front. You have a couple different fungi which are caused by moisture and the environment. We cannot control that. The road strip looks to have suffered some heat stress during the summer. And, some of the areas under the trees have declined due to shade and competition for nutrients between the turf and the tree roots. You also have a dog that has caused damage due to urine. There are some things that we can control and some that we cannot. The applications that you received this year were done correctly an in a timely manor. I am sorry but it is not our responsibility to restore the lawn to the condition it was when it was installed due to these reasons. Thank you." Lawns are living entities and lawn care is a partnership. If recommendations are not followed there is only so much that can be done. Our sincerest apologies for your unhappiness and your frustration. Please call me directly if there is anything reasonable we can work out together. This company gives you the hard sales pitch and does not provide quality service.  Much is what they provide is over priced and overhyped.  They stretch the facts to tell you what they think you want to hear.  They cold call incessently until they land you as a customer.   They did a terrible job at controlling my crabgrass  and they led me to believe that they could kill it even though it had take over the lawn, even though this was not a realistic option
Response from Noon Turf Care
"Thank you for taking the time to provide honest feedback about our company. We are sorry to hear that you were clearly unhappy with our service. It seems that there was a misunderstanding regarding the correct expectations not being set. Looking at the records it appears that service was started late; well after crabgrass pre-emergent could be applied. Also, only a total of three lawn care applications were applied. The amount of crabgrass mentioned may take several seasons to combat. We will be happy to do whatever it takes to correct this issue. Again, our apologies and thank you."

This is our first summer with Noon. We signed them up because a former landscaper was using them and significantly increasing the charge to us so we went direct. The basic service seems ok, the lawn looks pretty good and the price is good even comparing to doing it yourself. They show up on schedule, fertilize, print out a paper and leave. Judging from the tracks in the lawn they do cover the full area.
Follow up service is not as good. They do not stress trying to improve issues with your particular lawn. Once you sign up they have a strong upselling department that constantly!!! phones and tries to get you to buy more services whether you need them or not (lime, aeration, overseeding, etc.). These seems to have no relation to what the service technician has noted for your lawn. Also, they really push to prepay. I am not surprised by some of the negative comments I see.
Bottom line, they are ok for the base fertilizing service but fend off the upselling. I found out you can call them and be taken off the upsell call list.

We had an integrity issue with Noon.  We hired them to come out and spray our trees and fertilize our trees and shrubs.  When the tech arrived he did not know my wife was home.  She watched him spray 1/4 of our trees and fertilize three out of dozens of trees and NO SHRUBS.  He then went to the curb and emptied his spray tank onto the ground.  When we called to let them know what happened they got defensive saying we must have not seen what he really did.  They spoke to us as if WE were LYING versus trying to fix the problem.  Needless to say we cancelled future service and I warn you to keep a close eye on them if you use them.
