MEGA WATT CAR STEREO

Rick at Wega Watt was the only place that matched a package to improve the stereo sound with my interest and my budget. All of the other locations pushed for much bigger and much more expensive solution. The shopping experience was also excellent. All of the work was completed on time as promised. The technician met with me after the amp was installed to make a number of fine tuning tweaks based on my musical interests and listening style rather than a one-size-fits-all method. I greatly appreciated the personal touch. Of interesting note, there was a slight discrepancy between my written estimate and the final price. When I produce the quote they immediately apologized and adjusted the price accordingly. This speaks to Rick's professionalism and character. I would recommend them just based on this experience. With that said, I can also recommend them for the impressive improvement in sound quality and fidelity. If and when I upgrade the speakers, I have not doubt that I will be going to Mega Watt!

Provided great explanation of the different types available. Service was on time and professional. Had one issue with remote, brought it back, owner stopped and took my car in immediately, fixed the problem and I have had no problems since. I would strongly recommend them for their level of service, knowledge and quick response to a problem. Will use them again.

I chose to replace the stock speakers in my car with upgraded speakers. The people in the shop were very friendly and receptive. They researched the car speaker type and went over the options of speakers available. Scheduling was easy and the speakers were installed and work great.
There are a few little details that keep them from getting an "A" rating. They have been open for years and seem to be doing great business, but the shop is slightly run down and disorganized. The listening room does not have many decks and speakers hooked up for comparison - so this is not the place to go to comparison shop for speakers.
As for price. When I first walked in - I had a 'guestimate' about the speaker costs. When I inquired that it seemed high, they looked up the price and found that their guestimate was $20 over the actual retail cost. The installation cost is at average or above average for this area.
When I got the car, I found that the door locks needed to be re-connected again. Mega-Watt fixed the problem within 5 minutes of me returning to the shop, but it was a small inconvenience.
The above problems were very small and the work was completed in a timely and extremely professional manor. I believe in fair reviews. Mega Watt is one of the better Car Stereo installation companies I have used, but they are not the best.
Many of the problems above are because they are a small installation shop. Larger companies and big box stores may have a better exterior experience, but I have had multiple problems with big box store installers since they use junior installation people. I would not hesitate to use Mega-Watt again. The prices are average/fair. The staff is extremely friendly and competent. And the stereo sounds great.
