For the painting of our home and initial work on wood (siding and trim) replacement, we were very happy. John (primary contact at Brittos) was professional, and the crew did a good job for a reasonable price (middle of the 3 estimates we received). We wrote a recommendation letter and recommended Brittos to our neighbor when they had their home painted - and they went with Brittos. Before the work at our neighbors home was started, we noticed several pieces of wood that should have been replaced originally but were overlooked (pretty minor relatively). I called and spoke with John about it, and he came out with another guy on the crew. They agreed to fix those pieces of wood when painting the neighbors house. I separately had them provide me an estimate for a bathroom and a couple ceilings inside the house, which they were going to paint at the same time (appx $500 as I recall). Unfortunately, this is when things turned for the worse. When they were over at my neighbors house, they never came over to do our work - and we heard from the neighbor that they were very unhappy with Brittos (never a good thing to hear from your referral - but we didn't hear the other side of the story...so I really don't know what the trouble was). I tried several times to reach John and Brittos, leaving several voicemail messages to find out when they were coming over to do our work. I was disappointed to hear the neighbors were unhappy, but I didn't even mention that. I never heard back. I now need to get this work done through another contractor. Too bad. Obviously, I regret offering them a recommendation letter and certainly don't advise hiring them.
