Brightstar worked closely with me to install the maximum number of panels, 36 we could put on my roof. We selected panels without the silver traces and black surround so the would be relatively unobtrusive. See picture. Some of my trees since removed I have some shading from trees across the road but still make 10M watt/hrs/year. Since installation we had one of the 36 optimizers and an inverter fail - both replaced quickly under warranty and at no cost to me! Last week (March 21) I saw some intermittent inverter shut down that Brightstar were able to determine that the cause was utility voltage was out of specification. I also measured it as 130v that could be dangerous to electrical equipment in the 100s of homes on that circuit. The utility quickly verified this and replace their failed regulator. Good work Brightstar!

It went very well. Jon and Mona were recommended to me by a neighbor and we’re great to work with. Aside from the professionalism, reliability, and integrity needed for a home improvement project, a solar installation requires the contractor’s thorough knowledge of the public programs that provide homeowner incentives to make the numbers work better. These include not only the federal and state income tax credits, but also the registration and sale of renewable energy certificates. Jon and Mona were patient with my questions and know these programs inside and out, handling all of the paperwork for the credits and renewable energy certificates for me. Moreover, the system looks great and performs as advertised.

Jon answered *endless* questions during the decision-making process and, most importantly, seriously listened to my questions. No pressure, accurate, honest answers, and my system was up and running much faster than I thought. Essentially hands-off on my part, cost per kWh was very competitive. Very flexible during the system design, we went from string inverter to microinverters and back to a string inverters as the system evolved. I couldn't have done any better.

Jon came in to my house and helped me make a decision on getting new solar panels for my house. These are so many options between leasing and buying, and panel manufacturers, and inverters, and angles of the roof and the sun that I was confused. Jon helped me understand my options and put together the most compelling proposal. I ended up buying my solar system using masssolarloan.com (Brightstar is a certified Mass Solar installler) by the state of Massachusetts. I had several options which roofs to use and which panels to choose, and I picked the one that made most sense. Also, Jon advised that I needed to re-shingle the roof. Once an issue came up regarding new shingles, Jon responded quickly and resolved the issue within a few days.

Jon and Mona are truly professional and very responsive to questions at any time. During the installation, Jon would send daily updates via email since I was out of town. They used all black hardware which made the panels look sleek on the roof as compared to some other installations that I had seen. Mona took care of all the documentation and paperwork and was very instrumental in making sure that the project was commissioned on time.

They did our next-door neighbor first, who gave them high ratings. I totally concur. Jon and Mona Reese of Brightstar were a pleasure to work with. We communicated via email and phone calls. They were always very responsive and honest. I like to understand things and Jon was great at explaining the technology. He didn't oversell at all. In fact the system is out performing the capacity he conservatively estimated. I wanted to get panels with the highest output and Jon got them for me at a fair price. The other thing I really like is that they have been very helpful since finishing the job. I had questions about my electric bill, which Mona gladly answered. Also, Mona sent me a reminder email about doing my taxes to get the Solar credit. Lastly, this company is very reliable. They came and finished the job when they said they would in a very timely manner.

We would recommend (and have done so) Jon and Mona to anyone. True professionals, highly knowledgable, great people. It would be a mistake to nog hire these folks.

Brightstar Solar did an outstanding job and I am so pleased with the outcome. Jon and Mona and their crew were professional, responsive, and pleasant to work with. Mona took care of all the paperwork and made it so easy for me. She is extremely thorough and constantly communicated with me about what was coming down the road. Jon was very flexible with my start date as he waited for my roof work to be completed, and he also spent time with me to explain the system after the install. He was kind enough to immediately follow-up with an email about our discussion so I would not forget. Their pricing was also very fair (I had obtained other bids), however, the main reason I am so pleased about Brightstar Solar is due to their quality customer service and responsiveness to my questions, emails, etc. They are an outstanding team.
