Beantown Locksmith Service

I called their number above via a google search for locksmiths with a 24 hour service after returning home at 1:00 am to discovered I was locked out. Their website indicates "$18 service call with a 15 minute resposne" (http://beantownlocksmith.com/marlborough). It took over 50 minutes for the "locksmith" to arrive. He then told me it would be $40 dollars to open the lock plus $25 for a service fee. After spending 20 minutes inserting tools and banging with the end of a screwdriver he announced it would need to be drilled out and would cost $365. I told him I could not having him drilling at now 2 am in a common area. He refused to listen and drilled out the lock instantly to open the door WITHOUT damaging the front of the lock. Their ad indicates they take Amex/Visa/Discover/MC. I was told I must pay in cash. I refused: and they took my credit card. I was then told for another $150 they would replace the dead bolt so I "wouldn't be locked out again". I refused. They are a FRONT for a nationwide service called Modern Security Locksmith LLC (866) 977-5625 which has similiar occurances in other cities. Moral of the story: find a locksmith, put the number in your cell phone to avoid scammers that prey on an emergency!.
