Whole process went smoothly. Total Comfort was professional, on time, and they cleaned up areas very well after the install. Recommendation on where to put unit was also better then other companies.

I had 2-12,000 BTU Mitsubishi HyperHeat/AC mini-split units installed, 1 upstairs, 1 down. Both exterior units were supposed to be installed on stands. A date was set for installation, which they postponed for 10 days. When they came to install in late September, they did not have stands. I had already removed my exisiting heating unit and the weather was turning so I had to have these units installed ASAP. They put the units on pads but assured me they would be back to install them on stands. I requested stands because in cold climates they are required by Mitsubishi so that units can drain properly and not freeze up. 3 months later I was away (January) and my downstairs unit froze and shut off. My pipes were frozen but luckily did not burst. Total Comfort came out 3 times and supposedly fixed what they thought was the problem. Each time, the unit froze and shut off. Finally, I insisted they raise the units, showing them the Mitsubishi Cold Climate installation instructions. Only then, did they agree that the units needed to be raised. They were supposed to put the units on temporary stands because of the snow cover on the ground. Without my permission, they attached the units to the side of my house over my brand new vinyl siding. The vibration from this setup was terrible. I Could barely hear myself think. There were huge holes drilled for lolly screws in the exterior substrate that were not sealed and allowed cold air to blow into my home. I called them and left a message explaining the issues above. They did not return phone calls nor did they respond to emails or letters. I am stuck with these units vibrating away on my damaged siding until I can pay someone else to finish the job that I already paid Total Comfort to do. Other issues were: 1.) Installed upstairs unit too low which had to be reinstalled. I had to patch the 3" hole they made in the wall for the first installation. 2.) They had to come back 2 times to re-run drain lines for the upstairs unit. First time they terminated the drain into the clothes washer standpipe. The agreement was for all drains to terminate outside. This standpipe was scheduled to be removed as part of further renovations. The second time, the drain line had not been replaced but spliced with an improper joint that caused it to leak on my electric dryer in the basement. Had them replace the entire length of drain line. 3.) They dented my dryer, pulled the washer out into the middle of the room and left it there. 4.) They did not protect drain lines that they ran through open exterior walls from being pierced from the outside. The lines should have been protected with steel plate, not thin aluminum that itself was easily penetrated. 5.) Wiring not to code. Power supply to outside was wrapped around a floor joist. Total Comfort was supposedly a Mitsubishi "Preferred Installer" which obviously does not mean a thing as far as knowledge or ability go. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!

The service was excellent - Total comfort was very prompt and professional, coming in at the scheduled time and thoroughly going through our boiler to ensure that it would be ready for the winter.

This is a professional operation. The installation went smoothly, despite very difficult winter conditions. Chris and his crew dug several 4 ft deep paths through the snow - in single digit temperatures - to install the exterior parts of a new ductless cooling/heating system. Inside drop cloths were scattered to protect the floors from traffic in and out of the house. The job took two days. So far, the units, acting as winter heat pumps, are putting out tons of heat allowing the gas hot water furnace to shut down entirely. The exterior temperature is currently 19 degrees. The new wall units are maintaining 72 degrees in the house - by themselves.
The circa 1908 house presented consider difficulty running the pipes and lines because the wall cavities were unusually narrow. Despite this, the crew, took their time and threaded the needle to make it work. They ran the covered exterior lines beautifully, making them hardly noticeable.
The price was right and came with a 7 year parts and 5 year labor warranty. They take all major credit cards. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with Total Comfort Heating and Cooling. Highly Recommend.

Went great! Kevin was friendly, talked about the furnace a little bit. I did not have anything major done. my furnace would not provide heat unless I raised tstat high. I kind of thought the issue was the flame sensor or at least possible. I do not like messing with furnaces so as simple as it was, I'd rather have someone else do it. Kevin fixed the issue, made sure heat was cranking and that was it. I will definitely go back and recommend Total Comfort. Thank you!

Was able to complete work, as well as give good advice on additional add ons we were considering for the system. Advised us as to the age and condition of the system, and fixed things that needed immediate attenetion. Checked and gave advice on radiators, which we had been unable to find anyone willing to do. On the following Sunday, the system wouldn't start, and a phone call was immediately returned, and we were able to restart system based on the help given. Very professional company I am glad to have found!

Chris over at Total comfort was awesome. Timely, professional, courteous, everything I could ask for. The prices were very competitive with other quotes I got, about right in the middle, they weren't the lowest, but not the highest either. Don't expect the lowest quote, they compete on quality, not price. You can expect something fairly competitive with the market.
All throughout the process Chris was great though, answered numerous emails and calls, never had a problem getting in touch with him, and he never seemed frustrated and impatient with questions. They completed the job within a day, as promised, and did everything within their power to be clean and not damage the carpeting (no small task as the boiler and tank was in my basement, which has no bulkhead, so they had to take a 2 ton boiler and 1 ton tank up a relatively narrow staircase; the fact that the basement carpet, and walls are even intact is a testament to their careful and diligent work.)
All in all, I was very impressed, and would have no reservations about doing business with them again, were the need to ever arise.

Wendell was great from start to finish. He informed me of a current rebate and even filled out the paperwork. His team was professional and cleaned up after the work. Wendell is also an honest businessman which is hard to come by; he sold me only what was necessary to get the job done.

Chris installed a Weil McLain CGi 4 and we found that it made a lot of noise while running. The installation was well done, but it was a noisy boiler.
When I informed Chris about the issue, he came in, evaluated the noise and agreed to replace it with a quieter boiler, which turned out to be much better.
I highly recommend Chris Menard as an installer because I was happy with his work and his commitment to customer satisfaction. He went the extra mile even though he was fully paid. I found him to be knowledgeable, detail oriented, prompt and professional.

Wendell was great from start to finish. He came to my house within a half-hour after I first told him of the problem. He explained the problem to me, and how it is difficult to know the exact solution because the error codes can mean many different things. After an hour of troubleshooting, the system was running fine again, but Wendell told me to let him know if any new problems arose. I gladly paid him the $120.00 he requested for his time, and my expectation of a permanent solution. Naturally, I was disappointed the next morning when I saw that the system had stopped working again, and my house was getting cold. I called Wendell, and again he was very responsive, and ready to go to "plan B." He made clear that if a new part was needed, the $120.00 that I had spent the day before would be applied to the final cost. He told me he would come later that day at a mutually convenient time. Unfortunately, he was not able to keep that time because of other jobs, and was apologetic. He even offered to come after 7 p.m., but I reassured him that I had been able to get the system running by turning it off and on (a very unreliable solution in the long run), so I'd be fine until the next morning. When he came the next day, he installed the new part in just a few minutes, and informed me that I would not need to pay anything on top of the $120.00 that I had already paid, because I was still under warranty since his last visit, which was less than a year ago. Even while he was leaving, he checked my condensers to make sure there was no blockage there from the snow.
Wendell clearly strives to give his customers the best possible experience (even putting on protective footwear so as not to dirty the floor), and cares about their satisfaction. He also takes an interest in his work, and is genuinely interested in finding solutions.
Total Comfort was a great help when I most needed it. I would definitely use them again!!

I first sent in inquiry by message, and received a phone call that same day (on a Saturday, no less) from Kevin who scheduled Chris to come out the next week and take a look at the job. Chris arrived on time, with a courtesy call ahead, and unlike other contractors who've given estimates, did not have one foot out the door the minute he stepped in. He was very professional, took his time to answer my questions, explain what they do, and go over everything in detail.
Within an hour of his visit, I had an itemized and detailed quote in my email. The price was fair, based on other quotes I've gotten, right about at the average, and given how comfortable he'd made me feel through the process, I had no problem paying slightly more than other companies who didn't give me as good of a feeling. I'm glad I made that choice, when the job was scheduled, Kevin showed up first, right on time, everything was done professionally. Many contractors will try to save money by having their own guys do all the removal work, often without the experience or equipment to do so. But not these guys, they did the right thing, and hired a professional subcontractor who did the removal of the old furnace and oil tank (which was no easy job because my basement has no bulkhead or direct access outside, so they had to go up the stairs.) I was extremely impressed, they got everything out while barely leaving a footprint. Considering they had to walk a 30 year old soot filled furnace, and grimy old tank up the stairs, that is no small accomplishment.
When the job was done, Chris took the time to explain in detail the paperwork I needed to finish to complete the rebate on the equipment, and walked me through everything that was done. All in all, I can't say enough good things about this company; they clearly care about the work they do and it shows.

Kevin was professional and communicated all aspects and materials clearly. He was always on time and the work was done as expected and in a timely manner. I had a unit installed in both the upstairs and downstairs. The equipment is very simple to use. I would highly recommend this company! I also would recommend the ductless a/c to anyone who is retrofitting an air conditioner.
