+ -1 moreGreat. The crew was a very cheerful, but no nonsense group. The had serious work to do and they did it. Prior to the job,Mr. Lobsang Paljor, the owner, went over all the details and materials to be used. during the job, we made a few changes of the plan and the work was completed without any hassles. There was some singing of songs by one or two members of the team. There voices weren't too bad and my not understanding the Tibetan made it sound a bit like opera. As added info, Typhoon Sandy (hurricane) came through right in the middle of the job. Everything was secured the day before the storm and there were no problems. As a plus, they let me help a little with some of the cleanup, at no extra charge.
Description of Work: Strip two roofs (bi-level house), remove old gutters, soffits, fascia and rake boards, remove wood shingles from gable area between the two roof levels and replace with new cedar shingles. Re-shingle roof with lifetime CertainTeed shingles. Replace all rake boards, fascia boards, gutters, and soffits. Soffits were replaced with 3/4 inch plywood withe seven 8 x 16 inch vents for each soffit. Four soffits total with all new soffit joists. Remove gable vents at each end of house and re-shingle with cedar shingles. Vents were no longer needed due to ridge vent installation. Azek material was used for rake boards and soffit boards. Soffits were primed and painted along with the cedar siding being clear seal coated.
