Paul Murphy Insurance

In August of 2011, I found Jimmy (James G.) Beaulieu, CLCS of Paul T. Murphy Insurance in Malden in the process of moving my elderly father up to Malden from his lifelong home in New York. My father had had to deal with a stressful situation given my mother's dementia and recent death, and he'd had a few accidents. I called around to several insurance agencies, but no one had time to meet with us or help. And then I called Jimmy. He was willing to meet with us the same day, he called around
and managed to get my father an affordable auto insurance policy, $800 cheaper than the Allstate plan he'd been on in New York. I assured Jimmy that my father was well enough to drive, but that he'd been under a lot of stress given complications from my mother's illness and death. We had an agreement that he wouldn't drive on highways, just to local grocery stores, and he has been very responsible and not had any trouble driving. Jimmy also wrote him a renter's policy ($150/year, $30,000 replacement coverage). This year, when my father's renewal was up, Jimmy called me and said he'd found him a better auto
insurance policy, one that would save him nearly $1000/year (going from a premium of $1682/year to ~750/year).I called my father and he drove down to Paul T. Murphy Insurance and signed the paperwork.
Looking out for his clients is the way Jimmy does business. After watching Jimmy in action, I switched my own auto policy to Paul T. Murphy insurance (as well as my condo policy and an umbrella policy). Jimmy helped me save money on all of them. After this wonderful experience, our condo association received a notice that our new Master policy would cost $4000/year for $1,200,000 coverage, which seemed like a lot to us. I brought the policy to Jimmy and he worked on finding us a better deal --- sure enough a couple of weeks later, he found us a policy with better coverage (the new policy had a grandfather clause so that in case any restoration work in the event of a covered incident required more extensive renovations to meet current city code requirements, the insurance company would cover the cost. Sure enough, this past January, we had a burst pipe (from extreme cold weather) and Servpro had to come and rip out a wall in my kitchen and I need extensive renovation work.
Jimmy saved me thousands to meet code upgrades, and the condo association too, because we have to replace all our smoke/carbon monoxide detectors (one was destroyed from water damage).
In short, Jimmy is by far the best, most conscientious insurance agent you will ever encounter. He takes care of his clients even after the premium is paid. In the past, I have had very bad experiences with insurance agents.
I have recommended Jimmy and Paul T. Murphy Insurance to friends and neighbors. And my 2nd floor neighbors do business with him as does a colleague and friend from work.
