BEWARE! I can only share my recent experience which was an onsite estimate by Mike in January followed soon after by my deposit of $1850 and I've never seen Mike's Landscaping since. After several calls and being given numerous excuses over two months still no work done, no spring cleanup, no lawn care, no irrigation turned on. Needless to say the yard is a mess and I've had to start the work myself. My experience is lots of promises and no follow through. And they still have my $1850, won't refund me and are telling me if I cancel I lose it. Beware of signing their contract. A complete nightmare.

This has been THE MOST horrible experience of my life. I would NEVER recommend this company to any one, ever. When Mike first came out, he was super nice and down to earth. He gave me a reasonable quote for some serious over growth and to do some mulching. However, that's where my good experience ended. 
The job got done and the front looked fine, however, the back a complete hack job was done. They took out plants I specifically said to leave alone (claiming there was over growth- there was no over growth). Then, I had also signed a contract for them to come out and do maintenance and they never showed up! I have been going back and forth with them for over a month where the receptionist gives me a day and time that Mike will show up and he never does, causing me to wait around. I have never been treated so poorly by a company in my life. 
Today I received a voicemail telling me I should find another company to work with as Mike stands by his work (although he never came out and saw the work that was actually done) and made excuses about everything else. 
The guys he had working here took my grill utensils (or they disappeared into thin air) and left a box of chicken wings on my patio. Real professional. DO NOT USE. 

We recently installed an in ground pool which left our front and back yards a complete mess.  All existing trees and shrubs were destroyed.  I called Mike's Landscaping on Monday for a quote, he met me on Tuesday, we signed the agreement on Wednesday and his crew were there on Thursday morning.  I stressed to him that I wanted to have the project complete by end of October since we were expecting guests.  He wasted no time - they even worked on Saturday.  The entire job took 5 whole days and came out beautifully.  Mike had suggestions for the design of the pavers and we're very happy we listened to him.  We couldn't be happier. 

His staff (Lori at the office and the landscapers) were very friendly, clean and professional.  I worked with Lori at the office to coordinate and  and she was just a pleasure. 

MIke's wasn't the least expensive landscaper that we met with but we are very happy that we chose him and look forward to working with him in the future.

Mike and his team were great to work with.  Weather did push back our start date, but once the project began it was completed very quickly and professionally.  Mike's pricing is not the lowest, but he delivers quality and we are very happy with the end product.  We would use Mike again in the future.

There was a lot of snow.  The crew cleared it quickly with blower and shovels.  They also put down salt/sand.  I called back to sign up for permanent removal.

Things went very well. The guy was very responsive. He was there quickly. He came the same day I researched about the company. I like the responsiveness mostly because someone referred him or if he wanted to make a good impression or he just happened to be in the area; but that was really nice that he was able to come out so quickly. He actually did prowling, which he didn't have to do and it was nice.

Arrived VERY quickly and finished quickly. Courteous and professional he did more than I asked for.

The punchline is that I do not recommend Mike's landscaping to anyone. The receptionist had an attitude and they never seemed to know what they were doing at my home when I called to inquire. Mike would not speak to me to hear about my experience and never responded when I later did a BBB complaint.

Details: Not only was the contract they provided incredibly general (which they determined what it meant in their favor), they also said they came by to treat my tree several times but there was no treatment stick left and someone was here all day each time they claim to have come. When I asked when they came and when they were coming next, they told me they didn't know. I still to this day do not know if they ever came to provide the services they were paid for.

On top of that we found out that and quot;Treatmentand quot; meant fertilizer treatment and not anti-fungal treatment which is what we had asked them to do. When they said they didn't do anti-fungal treatment we asked what they WERE doing and they said fertilizer which wasn't the service that we asked for nor needed. We were mislead and they stated the contract said treatment and I was supposed to know somehow that it meant fertilizer.

When I asked more questions the receptionist was really defensive and outright rude stating that they were too busy that day to help me because she was the only one there to speak with. She didn't offer to have anyone call me back, I had to beg her. I asked to speak with Mike a second time and he never called. I then wrote to the BBB and Mike's Landscape never responded either.

End result is that I signed up for service I never received, lost money and was treated poorly.

Got my quote a day after my Initial call. Was happy with some ideas to save money doing things a certain way, and not saving money on things that could compromise the longevity of the work. Was told it could be three weeks before work could be started but the job started 4 days after my quote. Extremely happy with the work, much more involved than I had figured it to be.

Excellent serive, albeit a little pricey.

We were desperate to have the driveway cleared after a big storm, and the company that did the first two passes, left a few inches of hard-packed slippery snow. We were low on oil, and had one delivery truck turn around after failing to get up the drive. Called Mike's for some sanding/salting and one last attempt at a plow. A truck came in 15 minutes. Bob was great: courteous, sympathetic, and thorough. Plowed what he could, then sanded up and back twice. Found out that he was on his way home from the Christmas party and that the company was going to be closed for 2 weeks! Receptionist was great also.

They worked very quickly and got the job done very fast. They were very good at communicating and keeping me up to date on whats going on. The quality of their work was very good too. I was looking for a landscape design but they didn't come through with that.

They did a very very good job. They did exactly what we had asked. The price that they quoted me was a bit high. I was inexperienced at the time. I was happy with what they did. There was bad communication between the guy who did the estimate and the guy that did the job. When I told them that they didn't do something I asked he joked about me trying to add things into the job. Overall, the job was done good. I did not like the way they handle the minority of the hard laborers. The Hispanic guys were working their butts off and the supervisor was just kind of standing around. They are a bit under paid as well.

He also advised of cheaper options and did not push work that wasn't necessary. The landscaping crew was courteous and professional. Our job got behind due to a subcontractor delay. The crew worked a Saturday to get caught up. Overall, we like the design and end result. We definitely feel the company knows their trade. We would have like for a few things to be different. Mike is responsive and will come out and give a verbal quote. He will not provide a written proposal or contract for review. You can only get a written copy at the time you commit for the work and provide a deposit. Also, supervision/communication was lacking which caused us to supervise more than we felt was necessary for a job of this size. In particular, when unexpected situations occurred that resulted in additional cost, we were not advised in advance of the work being done. These items were minor for us (less than 5% of total cost). We have contracted for additional services.

There is a deposit you pay at the beginning of the season when you sign the contract. I had a very hard time getting my deposit back from them for snow removal. This was after placing 3 phone calls. When they did shovel they came promptly and did a good job. My only complaint was that I had a hard time getting that deposit back.
