The job got done and the front looked fine, however, the back a complete hack job was done. They took out plants I specifically said to leave alone (claiming there was over growth- there was no over growth). Then, I had also signed a contract for them to come out and do maintenance and they never showed up! I have been going back and forth with them for over a month where the receptionist gives me a day and time that Mike will show up and he never does, causing me to wait around. I have never been treated so poorly by a company in my life.
Today I received a voicemail telling me I should find another company to work with as Mike stands by his work (although he never came out and saw the work that was actually done) and made excuses about everything else.
The guys he had working here took my grill utensils (or they disappeared into thin air) and left a box of chicken wings on my patio. Real professional. DO NOT USE.
We recently installed an in ground pool which left our front and back yards a complete mess. All existing trees and shrubs were destroyed. I called Mike's Landscaping on Monday for a quote, he met me on Tuesday, we signed the agreement on Wednesday and his crew were there on Thursday morning. I stressed to him that I wanted to have the project complete by end of October since we were expecting guests. He wasted no time - they even worked on Saturday. The entire job took 5 whole days and came out beautifully. Mike had suggestions for the design of the pavers and we're very happy we listened to him. We couldn't be happier.
His staff (Lori at the office and the landscapers) were very friendly, clean and professional. I worked with Lori at the office to coordinate and and she was just a pleasure.
MIke's wasn't the least expensive landscaper that we met with but we are very happy that we chose him and look forward to working with him in the future.
Details: Not only was the contract they provided incredibly general (which they determined what it meant in their favor), they also said they came by to treat my tree several times but there was no treatment stick left and someone was here all day each time they claim to have come. When I asked when they came and when they were coming next, they told me they didn't know. I still to this day do not know if they ever came to provide the services they were paid for.
On top of that we found out that and quot;Treatmentand quot; meant fertilizer treatment and not anti-fungal treatment which is what we had asked them to do. When they said they didn't do anti-fungal treatment we asked what they WERE doing and they said fertilizer which wasn't the service that we asked for nor needed. We were mislead and they stated the contract said treatment and I was supposed to know somehow that it meant fertilizer.
When I asked more questions the receptionist was really defensive and outright rude stating that they were too busy that day to help me because she was the only one there to speak with. She didn't offer to have anyone call me back, I had to beg her. I asked to speak with Mike a second time and he never called. I then wrote to the BBB and Mike's Landscape never responded either.
End result is that I signed up for service I never received, lost money and was treated poorly.
