Joseph O'Callaghan Carpentry

I can't say enough positive things about what it's like to work with Joe O'Callaghan. He just does everything RIGHT! For example, early on when I went to pick up my floor tile at Fitzgerald Tile, I realized I couldn't lift a single box by myself (I bought 12x24 inch porcelain tile---I'm female, it was too heavy). So I called Joe and he took care of picking up the tile for me when he said he would.
Also, he went and got a building permit and when his plumber---who was also excellent, but who's name I don't know, discovered that my kitchen sink hadn't been properly vented, Joe took care of making sure that was done. But he didn't up the price I paid for the basic renovation.
As I wrote above, he does everything right. He had is plumber put the gas line for my stove closer to the wall so that the stove would sit back closer to the wall. He did a beautiful job installing both my wall tile and the floor tile. He collaborated with my elderly father on a plan to shore up the bowed kitchen floor with 4 lally columns. And he patiently explained to my dad why they had to be installed in a different place than my father originally thought. In the end, I had a beautiful new level kitchen floor. Masterfully installed tile. The wall tile was done well, too.
I guarantee you will love working with Joe. He is honest, he is talented, he is fair. This is the first major renovation project I have undertaken in my life. It's not a fun process, but it's a relief to know that you're working with a person who has the skills and the integrity to get you through to the other side, and particularly someone like Joe who is so utterly unflappable.
I give him my highest recommendation.
