This is the second time we hired Mike. Our projects were having our fieldstone basement repointed, adding a small piece to our existing fence to our garage, and adding paving stones behind the garage. While he was here, we showed him another project we were considering, and he was able to fit that in the following week. The second project was cleaning out the attic of the garage, removing the floorboards and installing a new 4-foot shelf in the attic ceiling, painting the interior, and installing 3 new windows. Mike is truly a jack of all trades! All the projects above came out great and we were very thankful to have his guidance as things went along. He provided a quote for the job, was communicative, and arrived in a timely manner. He cleaned up after very well after each day and he explains his process, problems, and solutions as he goes so, I always felt informed of what was going on. I would definitely recommend and hire Mike again for future jobs.

Very pleased with my new deck. I have had Mike a few times for various projects. Mike is a very conscientious, worker. He is punctual, explains what he is going to do and strives to make sure you, the customer, is pleased. Very pleasant and easy to talk to. Already planning future jobs for him!

Mike does an excellent job at great price. Recently our water heater broke and there was some water that got under the flooring he installed. He was helpful at undoing the trim and lifting up the floor so it could dry out and then putting it back so it looked like we never took it apart. It looks fantastic.

I hired Mike to fit and install a custom interior door to the basement. It was a challenging job as this is an old house and the door was an odd smaller size. Mike did a great job and was able to cut and sand down the door until it fit correctly. He provided a quote for the job, was communicative, and arrived in a timely manner even during morning commute while it was snowing! He cleaned up after very well, you would never know there was a makeshift wood shop in the basement for the day. He explains his process, problems, and solutions as he goes so I always felt informed of what was going on. In addition he is a very nice guy! We were unable to repair the fence due to the weather and freezing ground but Mike assured me we would set up a time in the milder weather to finish the job. I would definitely recommend and hire Mike again for future jobs.

Repairs went great. Mike was very knowledgeable and thorough with the work. He stayed as long as he needed to get the jobs done and thoroughly, and even made 2 trips to the hardware store due to unforeseeable necessities. He patched up a concrete portion of my driveway that was breaking loose and then solidly reattached a very heavy storm door that kept breaking off when we tried to repair it. We were very satisfied with his work and will be calling on him again.

I have used Mike before for various jobs and found him to be polite, neat, good at what he does and a great problem solver. So, when after months of searching I couldn't find anyone to work on my broken Pellet Stove I called Mike to come by and see if he could figure out how to get it running again. He jumped right in, poked around for a while and me and my family are warm again! I wish I hadn't waited so long to call him in the first place, I won't hesitate to call him again for just about anything in the house. I should also mention that on a previous job he actually gave me money back when the job, albeit not an easy one, took less time than he anticipated....when does THAT ever happen!

Mike was awesome! He emailed me immediately and made a day to come look at the job, he was prompt getting to my house. He even made sure he got there early when he heard I wanted to get to a spin class at the gym! He gave me a price and explained exactly what he would do. The next day he started the job, the day after he finished it. He cleaned up nicely and left the old stairs cut into smaller pieces so it was easier for me to dispose of. Mike is very smart in how he approaches a job, he doesn't try to sell you anything you don't need and in my case, I was very budget conscious so he did all he could to keep the costs down. He came in on budget. I will be using Mike again.

Mike did an exceptional job as the new stairway was actually a little smaller than it should have been. Mike was able to modify the opening to fit the new unit. Although the job took much more time than it should have due to my not measuring correctly he did not charge me extra! Mike also attached a safety bar in the shower firmly into two studs. He's a good handyman. He did the work well, made sure I knew the cost of each piece, consulted me on all the details so he'd know I'd like the look of the finished product, was aware of my budget and made appropriate options available. Personable guy, seems to know his stuff. His rates are reasonable, great communication about the project details. My only complaint is that if his estimated time of arrival is delayed for some reason, he doesn't always call so I have to make sure I keep on it. (He's a one man operation so most likely when he can't get there on time it's because he's waist deep in someone else's project and can't get out. I understand that, I'm usually home so it didn't really matter to me. If you have to take off work to wait for him I suggest calling before he's supposed to get there so you can get a proper ETA.)

Mike worked really hard to replace my storm door, which wasn't straight and had rotten wood around it. It came out perfect, including a new paint job around the trim! When he left there was no trace of him except for his excellent work. I look forward to the next time he comes. He also cleans gutters for me every Fall.

Everything went really well. Mike responded to my inquiry within a day, and came out to give an estimate a day later. He showed up on time each day, and cleaned up after himself. He explained the process, and functionality of each job and answered all questions. Friendly and patient. Very happy with all the work done.

After some initial difficulty locating an Azek dealer, Mike came when promised and finished when he said he would. Using the Azek materials complicated things, but Mike took it all in stride. In addition, he was working with a porch that was built almost 40 years ago, which meant that there were a number of irregularities in the substructure. It ended up very nice and Mike made all the adjustments necessary. The materials came to about $1,200 and the labor (including disposal of all old materials) came to about $900.

This was great experience. I had been slowly and ineptly replacing the rotting flooring on my porch. We also had 3 ceiling fans and 1 ceiling light fixture that needed replacing. I could see my enjoyable weekends disappearing replaced with working weekends filled with work I am neither efficient nor skilled at. I called Mike who promptly came out to review the porch and misc. work that we needed done. We agreed on a very reasonable price and start date. Mike began the work on the day that he said he would and was able to complete the work a day sooner than he thought he would. I couldn't be happier. Now I get to spend my weekend days enjoying time with my children and and the evenings on dates with my wife.

Mike took care of the work in 2 full days and promptly arrived at 8am to begin. He was eager to do the work and most importantly, to do it right. He was especially meticulous when he removed the existing marble threshold and used a small grinder and mortar to create a smooth waterproof surface before he installed the new marble threshold. The result was that it looks great and is perfectly pitched which made my wife and I very happy. The painting he did in the large room downstairs looks great, now like a livable space. My wife and I had peeled wall paper and the surface was plaster. We had done a lot of joint compounding to smooth the wall and Mike sanded as the first phase. We were very appreciative of the work done and it helped us keep our renovation projects moving (we moved in 6 months ago).
