I always enjoy working with Bernie Fitzpatrick - he comes through every time.  This latest time I stopped by his shop to replace the leaf springs on a window screen and he was able to fix the screen in under a minute (no charge).  He's great about holding up the warranty on the replacement windows he installed and I will continue to work with him on future projects.

My almost 23-year-old vertical insulating window blinds on a south-facing picture window, which had been working fine, suddenly wouldn't close on a Sunday evening, after I'd opened them in the morning. This had never happened before. I checked to make sure the chain that opened and closed them vertically wasn't tangled; however, the pull/draw cord (with a weighted handle) seemed clear but wouldn't budge. I squirted some WD-40 on the small metal parts of the vertical blind in the track, but overnight still nothing moved. I called Sears home repair where I'd bought the bllnds, but they don't do this repair any more, and a customer rep in Texas told me it sounded like the and quot;locking mechanismand quot; was broken. So, I joined Angie's List on Monday and found Bernie's service listed as the first one. I called him, and he was courteous and very pleasant, and said he could come out on Tuesday between 3 and 5 pm and take a look, especially since the blinds needed to be closed in this rising heat and humidity. He arrived at 3:30 pm, looked at the blinds, said whoever told me a locking mechanism was not working was incorrect, because these blinds had no such feature--it was a simple matter of the drawcord having turned around and looped on itself way up at the top. He reached up, unlooped it, and voila! The blinds opened and closed again ;-) He said to be careful about this happening again and to always make sure the cord was not wrapped around itself up top. He also taught me more about how the blinds worked. I asked him how much I owed him for his service and his help and it was very reasonable. So, now he has a customer for life if anything happens again to the blinds, if I need new ones, or if anything ever needs fixing in my relatively new windows...

I needed a few minor window repairs.  Bernie was great: knowledgeable, efficient, and personable.  He's been in this business for a long time and it shows.  Happy to use him again in the future.

I like them, they are professional and friendly. They did what they said they would do and their prices are good.They are slower than they used to be though.

Bernie came to do the quote and was very knowledgeable and professional. He gave me opinions on the type of windows we could get away with for the amount we were looking to spend and helped come up with ideas for how to handle soon to be replaced garage door windows. The work was done quickly and professionally. It was really a pleasure to work with these guys!

I had previously hired the company for two installations at a former house and I knew that they did excellent work.
They arrived in the morning and went straight to work and performed all the installation of the windows. They cleaned up after they were completed.
I was very satisfied with the installation of the windows and storm doors.

The work and product are excellent. We visited their showroom and got a rough cost estimate, and were given the book of samples to take home to decide on the specific material. Then Bernie came to our house to measure and give us a firm estimate. The blinds were ready in less than two weeks. Bernie installed them at our convenience. We're very happy with both the product and service.
