Everything went very well. We now have a beautiful composite deck and side entry that is beyond our expectations. It was easy to work and communicate with Fernando. He helped us find the right material for the look we wanted. The deck is built solidly and fully to code. He included electrical work (outdoor outlets) at no extra charge. We definitely recommend Fernando and will likely do more work with him and his team.

Fernando and his crew are great. They completely remodeled by primary bathroom on schedule and on budget. The workmanship was excellent. Above all, Fernando was extremely communicative and even made some changes on the fly as the project progressed. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his crew!

Fernando and his crew are professional and courteous. I hired them to do a complete renovation of our deck and sunroom, along with a mudroom (replace siding, windows, complete interior renovation, framing, relocating doors, demo and replace existing deck). They did not disappoint. The work was timely, adhered very well to the proposed timeline, and was within budget. Fernando is highly personable, and is excellent at communicating progress and issues, and has even proposed workaround suggestions (for example, he suggested, and we loved the deck material and color!). He is extremely knowledgeable and good to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend Fernando for any/all house renovation projects of all kinds!

We got about 7 quotes for our two story front porch replacement project and from the first visit Fernando stood apart. His deep knowledge, incredible attention to detail and ability to explain why he would recommend a particular approach impressed us. He also was communicative and responsive, so we felt comfortable signing the contract. While building during COVID-19 includes inevitable materials delays, Fernando kept us informed every step of the way. I frequently received updates and appreciated that Fernando also makes a point to regularly be at each job site. Even with some unavoidable material delays, our project was finished only 1 week later than originally estimated and it looks fantastic. We would absolutely hire Fernando again and we have already recommended him to friends. He clearly takes pride in his work and also understands the importance of customer communication and satisfaction.

Fernando and his crew did a great job removing, then rebuilding our front porch. He had previously rebuilt our back porch. He worked with us on materials selection and design issues, and he made great recommendations. He handled everything, including permits, demolition/removal, materials delivery and final construction. Fernando and his crew were very conscientious about COVID 19 precautions. He is a responsive and professional contractor.

Another great job by F Kempes General Contractor. This is the second time we have used F Kempes General Contractor and we cannot imagine using anyone else. My tenant moved out and I needed the bathroom ceiling replaced, bathroom tiles replaced, kitchen cabinets painted, walls and ceilings throughout the apartment painted. From the high quality paints they use to the professional and experienced staff that F Kempes General Contractor employs, their work was done superbly, and the end result was perfect. They answer all your questions and keep you appraised of progress and any issues along the way. We are so pleased with the way that everything turned out. Their work was done exceptionally well. General scope of services included full home renovation, interior demo, framing, subfloor, new plumbing, electrical, HVAC, new windows, drywall, plaster, tile work, interior finishes installation, cabinets, lighting, fixtures. Really easy to work with and get a hold of with frequent updates on progress from start to finish.

Excellent! Fernando's crew were excellent. High quality work, excellent materials and careful attention to detail. Able to handle tricky issues with skill. The floors look outstanding! Fernando kept in touch regularly to apprise me of when the crew would be there and what needed to be done. Fernando and team were exceptional from start-to-finish in their work repairing my basement columns. From the start, I noticed how thoughtful and thorough Fernando was in analyzing different approaches we could take. He quickly followed up with a detailed proposal and was always responsive and helpful with any question I would have. The team delivered everything as promised, and I’m very happy with the results. I have been working in the construction field for 20 years. By far, Fernando Bentos of F Kempes General Contractor is one of the best contractors I have worked with. I needed my 1st and 2nd-floor decks rebuilt. I interviewed several contractors and F Kempes General Contractor was the only company that was qualified for the job. Fernando was very patient with me, as I couldn’t visualize the new decks. He provided architectural drawings and clearly explained everything in great detail. Owning a home built in 1910 comes with many issues. During demolition, it was discovered the original decks were rotten, weren't built on posts and the 1st-floor sill wasn’t supported adequately. These problems were resolved very quickly and the decks are 10 times stronger than before. Fernando and his team consistently demonstrated knowledge, patience and an unwavering drive to complete the project. Fernando put in extra time to ensure that I was satisfied with the service we were receiving, but this was already evident due to the hard work that was being put into my home. Having a good working relationship with your contractor is important. The line of communication between Fernando and me was excellent. He responded quickly if I had any questions, took pictures of the progress while I was work and visited the job site daily. He went above and beyond by giving guidance, every question answered and every request was met with a “yes we can do that” attitude. Fernando and his crew made the deck construction process stress free. Seeing the decks come to life has been exciting from start to finish. The finished product has exceeded my expectations. The decks are beautiful and I have received many compliments. This has been an enjoyable experience thanks to Fernando and his team. Fernando was very professional. He completed the work during the agreed time frame and with excellent quality. He gave explanations of the work to be done, materials used and why. He also kept me up to date on progress and was prompt in answering any questions I had. In my experience this is rare. He is one of the best I have worked with.

Fernando’s team helped us install wall partitions, renovate our basement, and first floor basement. We are very please about the outcome of this project. The best thing about working with Fernando is communication. He was always immediately responsive to our concerns, via text, phone, our email. The workers were all very professional, friendly, and polite. The work is clean and the quality is great. They also always made sure to clean up afterwards. Things went very well, from the design phase through the last detail. Fernando oversaw all stages and stayed in close contact with us, quickly responding to any questions or concerns. The new porches have greatly improved the appearance of the house (many compliments from passers-by) and dramatically improved our enjoyment of the spaces and their function, as well as improving their safety.
