The floors were done while we were away on a cruise. The job was professional with a high quality result. The work included the whole house, two floors and a staircase.

He got black marks off of the hard wood floor that no one else could do. Reliable, hard working and a great team. Eric Nylin's price was very reasonable. It was definitely dustless.

When other people wouldn't touch our antique floors these guys came in - hand set over 500 top nails - and gave our nice but old floor new life as the centerpiece of our home. Every person who walks into the house says and quot;Wow! These floors are amazing!and quot;
They refinished the whole house - living, dining, library, 3 upstairs bedrooms, the upstairs hall, the stairs and the main foyer (the most amazing basketweave parquet with tiger oak!). They were super professional and talked us through every step and every decision. They truly are dustless and were very concerned about the products they were using as they knew we have small children. They gave us great advice on care. And they got it done in a narrow window of time so we could move in on time without subjecting our family to the fumes (they usually use no/low voc stuff but b/c of the age and condition of our floors they discussed with us our options and we all decided it'd be better to use old school poly). They increased the value of our home ad were a pleasure to work with!!

Initially I wanted to do the living room only, as the previous owners allowed three large windows to let in a lot of light over the years and fade the wood floor. There was a very obvious change in color where a rug had been before. In addition, there were a few boards that were water damaged and needed to be replaced. After Eric came out and saw the place, he gave me a competitive price for doing the whole level, which I decided to go forward with. After the initial visit we communicated via phone and email. He was easy to work with, and left the place spotless and dustless.
Eric is a wood floor magician. I wish I'd taken before and after photos of the living room to post, because the difference is remarkable. There is no evidence of any past fading anywhere. The replacement boards match the old ones perfectly. The floor has some challenging corners and threshold edges that were done expertly by hand. I've been asked by numerous people, including other professionals who have done work in my home, for his contact info after they saw the floor. In retrospect, I'm grateful I decided to go with doing the whole level. It's been a few months since the work was done, and I'm still stopping to admire the floor now and then.

They showed up when they said they would and finished it when they said they would. The floors came out great!

All i can say is that Eric and his team are fantastic. I've gone through a number of floor re-do nightmares in my life and was nervous about the job we needed to do in our new house. It was a good sized one and the biggest issue was the need to take the floors to a very dark black/brown. Every time I go home I'm glad I choose Nylin floors. The floors are awesome. Right color and finish is perfect! On top of it all - fair price and the crew were great. Really enjoyed meeting and working with them all. And finally, when Eric says his system is dustless it truly is. Not a spec of dust any where. Great Job!

We made an appointment for an estimate on a Tuesday and work started on Wednesday. Mr. Nylin and his workers were on time each day. They took a little over a day to sand the whole top floor of our home, which included an open area of kitchen/dining/living rooms, plus three bedrooms and hallway. Stain was applied the second day, and then 3 coats of polyurethane applied on each of the next three days. Everything was completed on a Sunday morning and by Monday, we could walk on the floors and move our furniture in. The process was explained along the way and all questions were answered. The most amazing thing about the experience was no sand dust. We would use Mr. Nylin again and recommend him to friends.

We read the reviews on Angie's List before choosing our floor refinisher. We focused on only those companies which offered dustless floor sanding. After reading the comments about Eric Nylin's company and the system he uses, we chose him to do the work. He told us it would take 3 days to sand and poly the three rooms, stairway and hallways which is exactly the time it took. He had some difficulty locating the correct molding for the built-in cabinet, but he was persistent in trying to find the molding that would work. He had to come back one evening to install it. He was also extremely willing to come back to touch up a small area in the living room.

The system Eric uses is truly dustless - the vacuum is extremely powerful. We, of course, removed all items from the floors; however, we were able to leave oil paintings and other art work on the walls as well as to leave some clothing in the closets - no evidence of dust on anything. After having floors refinished before, we know how awful dust from floor refinishing can be. His system made a difficult project so much more pleasant and the floors look terrific.

Eric was always responsive to phone calls and email. He was accommodating when trying to work around our schedule. He is professional in every way and is not satisfied until you are. We would recommend him highly and would hire him again for another project.

Spoke to Eric Nylin and arranged to meet him for a quote. He provided detailed estimate via email same day. Their main differentiating factor is that they remove the sawdust from your home as it is sanded. We had other quotes that were cheaper, but we felt that overall proposal was a fair price. We arranged for a start date a couple of weeks out. Overall we were very happy with results. They really do remove all the dust as they are sanding. Finish is very nice. We had a couple of spots that needed touch-ups which Eric was happy to address.

It went very well, it was a good experience.

They did a great job and I would definitely recommend them. It really was almost completely dustless. You have to be a littler persistent with them but the quality of work made up for it; sometimes people are just that way.

They were excellent. There was no dust at all. They were very professional. They left the place as clean as they showed up. The quality of the finish is fantastic.

Back in October I contacted several flooring companies. My wife was particularly interested in a TOTALLY dustless job - i was skeptical that anyone could do it. I sent Eric an email and he gave me a call the next day. We discussed the pros and cons of dealing with the transitions between the sections that were to be done and those that weren't. He was realistic about making promises on the problem areas and we felt confident that we were getting an honest assessment. He showed us a video of the huge truck mounted vacuum he uses and that ALL equipment, big sanders and little are connected to - he said it was 99% dust free - I was still skeptical, as all the other refinishers had said "well....almost dustless", but my wife was "sold" . Low estimate for this job was about $2500, high estimate was over $5000, so Eric was about mid way. We set a date for the job and then at the last minute, two days before the start, i had to cancel because of illness. I could tell he was upset, but he was extremely gracious about the whole thing despite not being able to arrange another job on such short notice. i told him i would contact him again in the spring, I'm sure he figured he'd never hear from me again. We reconnected in early April and agree to target somewhere around the end of the month. Eric came to do the job showed up on time and got to work helping us move some of the heavy furniture. It's Noisy, but that was expected so we basically "moved" out for a couple of days, since we wouldn't have been able to navigate anywhere in the house anyway due to tacky polyurethane. We returned a couple of days later and were amazed - NO DUST anywhere, the floors were beautiful and even the blending came out so well i had a hard time telling where the new ended and the old started, and there was very little residual odor even though it was oil based polyurethane. One slight issue, Eric is not the most communicative guy, but he was very good about returning emails in a timely fashion. If it was important i heard back from him quickly, if not it was a day or two. This was a great experience, especially compared to the last "almost dustless" job we had done a couple of years ago.

Amazing family company run by two brothers that are firefighters also, with the most incredible dust free sanding system. Eric the owner said the process was completely dust free and I was skeptical because of the mess left behind from the last time we had floors done. The sanding machines are hooked up to hoses that go to this very powerful vacuum system outside in a truck. All the dust is contained there and there was no dust what so ever in my home anywhere at anytime! There work is amazing as they stained the floors a walnut color and put three coats of polyurethane down. A friend who works at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum recommended them to us, for they did the galleries in there .
