Daniel came to our house, chatted and quickly provided us an estimate. What we wanted was modern and not the usual custom cabinetry that is in Daniel's wheel house. What was impressive is that he is so experienced he knew exactly what was needed to create the look we envisioned. He did it flawlessly and I received a TON of positive feedback from friends and family. Would definitely want to work with him again. You won't be disapointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Daniel -- his care and attention to detail was extraordinary,he took all factors into consideration and offered us carefully laid out options. He also took great care in telling us what the costs would be and what the time frame would be. The price included all design, building, painting, hardware, safety glass for the 9 small windows per door, weatherstripping, installation, removal and disposal of old doors.
His craftsmanship was wonderful and we are extremely pleased to have this addition to our home.

When we contacted Daniel, we had an initial plan. Daniel provided great recommendations to improve the finished product, and provided a drawing with all measurements before he started construction. He finished the project on time and then did a terrific job on the install. We are really satisfied with this whole project, due to Daniel's ability to 1) help us design the piece, 2) build it well, and 3) install it beautifully. In addition, it was a pleasure to work with him - He was punctual, professional, and a clean worker. We highly recommend him!

For some time we desired to replace the dilapidated, unattractive, and jerry-rigged 1980's-era garage door on our Cape-style home with carriage doors that would be more inline with the original architecture of the home. One day while out for a walk we happened upon a similar house with carriage doors exactly like we wanted. Since I had a camera with us, I quickly snapped a picture so that I could show it to a master carpenter. Next I began researching carpenters -- using Angie's List, of course! Daniel Brisson was highly rated and the pictures on his website clearly demonstrated he specialized in this type of work. Thus I decided to contact him. Like many working professionals, I am more accessible by e-mail than telephone. So I sent Daniel an e-mail with a description of the doors I wanted along with the picture I had taken earlier. Dan promptly replied indicating that he could help us with our doors. We had specific requirements which we corresponded about over e-mail: the doors should be very secure, with throw bolts and a deadlock; they should be well insulated; and they should be attractive feature of the house. Dan promptly answer our questions about each of these. In person and over e-mail, Daniel gave comprehensive answers and details about how he would build the doors. For doors that would last and be resistant to warping, he recommended using Quartersawn Fir. He provided details on the type of paint, the trim work, the type of windows, the hardware, and literally all other details. At all times we knew what we were getting. The doors were built on time and exactly as promised and we were even more delighted than we could have imagined! I've attached a screenshot of our doors below. Without reservation, I recommend Daniel Brisson.

He was very good. Everything was great. He gave us a decent price and did very quality work. There was one thing that needed to be done, a tweak to a hole that needed to be bigger. He came back 2 days after the check was cashed to fix it which I thought was a really good and positive thing. It was overall a really good and positive experience. He's punctual and communicates well.

Even though we initially ordered a full length opening, we quickly realized that with all the traffic the door saw, we needed a bar in the middle to prevent the kids from pushing out the screen. Daniel had no problem with that and added a central piece that did the trick and looks like it was originally made that way. No extra $. Plus, one of the best parts of the new storm door is that it kept our old house much warmer as there were no drafts coming in anymore!

Very well. Dan and his crew are very professional, clean up after themselves, and got the job done. We're very happy with their work and would use them again if we needed top notch work.

Fantastic! Daniel designed a perfect bookshelf, that looks like it's been there for 100 years. The trim pieces on the back side of the shelf matched perfectly. The work was top-notch, the best contractor I have ever worked with. It took about two days to install the bookshelf. It was a small job, but they fit it into their schedule very quickly. The design was better than I could have imagined, and it fits stylistically with our quirky home's old bullseye molding. There was no damage done to our 100+ year old plaster walls. It's rock solid construction. Daniel and his associate were clean and polite, and Daniel was very patient explaining the details. While they were here, they also replaced a rotten old threshold with a lovely piece of heart pine (which also matches the wide pine floors perfectly).

Daniel and his crew did an exceptional job. From meeting Daniel, to planning the work, to having the work completed, the experience was wonderful. Daniel is unfailingly patient and polite, and is also a craftsman and an artist. He truly cares about the work he's doing. The final product is even better than I expected. Everyone who visits comments on the work, noting that it looks like it's been in the house forever. Part of this is possible because Daniel took extreme care and interest in the details of the existing woodwork. On the practical side, he or his crew arrived on time and were absolutely meticulous. They used my garage as a staging area and when the work was complete, it was impossible to tell anyone had been there. A true professional, a true artist. Daniel's estimate was higher than two others I received, but you get what you pay for and it was worth the premium.

Daniel responded immediately to my email inquiry concerning my pocketdoor. He was able to assess the problem and repair it within 1 week. He is a very talented woodworker and I am so pleased that he did this repair job for me. He arrived exactly at the time that he scheduled and was very neat and polite. I would highly recommend his work and would love to hire again especially for his custom work.
