Ultra Heating & Air Conditioning

Description of Work: The service guy came out on one of the hottest days of the late summer when our a/c wasn't working. My husband wasn't home when he showed up. He went outside to where the air conditioner unit is and was out there for a while. I waited inside expecting him to come in and tell me what the problem was. After 15 minutes he came back in. He said "You're all set. It was a broken wire, so I wire nutted it so you're good to go." There were no parts necessary. I was a little curious why he wouldn't replace a broken wire so that it wouldn't break again. I didn't question this, and then was told it would be $165. He said he'll go get the slip from his truck and I paid him. I felt I was being taken for a ride since he 1) didn't inform me before he did the work and 2) didn't replace the wire. The price just seemed unfair and he didn't do a cost breakdown at all on the invoice. The worst part is a week later it stopped working again. We haven't fixed it yet and are now looking for a new service company. The only good thing about them was their speedy response. However, since their pricing was sketchy and they didn't actually fix it, I would never recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: Ultra Heating and A/C was hired to address the issue of improper balance of heating/cooling between the two floors of my last home.
