Absolute horrendous experience with Greg and M&M Tree Service.  That old cliché, "You get what you pay for", certainly rang true in my situation.  M&M was the least expensive but absolute worst experience I have ever had with a contractor.  I am working on a large backyard project, removing trees and expanding the backyard by leveling it off to an approximate height that needs 10 feet of fill.  The agreement was for M&M Tree Service to remove 13 trees down to the stumps in the backyard, remove a large branch from an oak, and prune 2 trees in the front yard.  
Ten trees were removed down to the stumps but 3 tremendous pines were left with approximately 8 foot trunks.  The yard had to be filled in to get the crane down.  It was filled with approximately 10 feet of fill, surrounding the 3 pines that were to be removed.  On two of the pines, rather than digging down the 10 feet or so to get to the stump, Greg dug down 2 feet, cut the tree and started burying the remainder.  The third pine was cut down to ground level (ie., with the 10 feet of fill) and left.  He was managing the excavator and could have easily dug all three down to the stump.  My fear is that in 10-15 years when the trees decompose, I will have large sinkholes that will need continuous maintenance.
When I confronted Greg, he said it was not agreed to.  He said that it was not his responsibility but the responsibility of the person filling in the backyard.  He also said that pruning the 2 trees in front was not in the agreement.  He left an absolute mess in the backyard, leaving large branches and trunks thrown into the woods as though he were in a rush.  Completely sloppy job and extremely unprofessional!  
Prior to the job starting, it was extremely difficult to get in touch with him.  It would take days to get call back after leaving numerous messages.  I guess I should have realized then what I was getting myself into!
I would strongly recommend against doing business with this company!

They came and cut it down and hauled them away.  They were very professional, very neat, were on time and did a nice job.

The crew waited until the ground was dry to minimize damage to the lawn. They spent two days removing and pruning trees and about 1/2 day grinding the stumps. No problems at all.

Greg is the best tree man we have used. We are recommending him to all of our friends and neighbors.
He and his assistant were very professional, neat and friendly. Greg used a bucket instead of a crane which was necessary for the trees in our backyard and close to our house. He was very careful to go around our septic system in the middle of our backyard. They took all the cutup trunks and branches, then cleaned around all of the places they had worked on.
A couple of days later Greg sent a young man and assistant over to grind the tree stumps down. They were also really good, neat and careful to avoid our septic system.
We highly recommend M and M Tree Service. Mand M is excellent.

Just perfect!! We are so lucky to have Greg around since we have a heavily wooded area which is complicated and takes quite a bit of skill and thoughtfulness.
