Yes, I recommend this pro
The project went very well and we were extremely pleased with the quality of work done by DCR Building and Remodeling. Dave was always available to answer our questions and the project was done on time and budget. The installation of the handicapped accessible bathroom was especially challenging. There were 5 doorways including the bathroom entering to the same hall and everyone of them had a different height floor. Dave and his crew did a fantastic job of leveling all the floors so the Wedi waterproof flooring in the bathroom worked properly. It is obvious from their work that they are highly skilled and very detailed oriented. I would hire DCR again without hesitation.

Too many tonkiat but every blue book code ingnored as he's always behind and trying to cut corners. My list is so long as well with many other clients we all end up in court. Feel free to call me 617-794-4392. I would be happy to speak with you to save you from making a very costly mistake. Chris

Terrible... Unstable contractor, did not pay subcontractors & lied to them... Chipped new tub and farmers sink, then lied about it. His "crew" consisted of two twenty one year old kids who shared how awful he was & how they never get repeat business. The only reason we paid Mr Rugato was to remove him from our lives

Do not use this builder.  He is the most inexperienced, unprofessional and unethical.  I cannot begin to tell you list but he hires, his buddy, who he hired to due out septic was fired by the town 3x for failing to pass the test, but Dave still had him plugging away making a mess of our yard.  He single handedly violated every bluebook code violation that any non-builder like the average home owner would know.  I say single handedly because all of the contractors either walk off the site or never showed up to work for him as he was not paying them.  He was "robbing peter to pay paul".  We could see the job was going down the tubes, and I was so appreciative when a few of the sub-contractors opened up to us and told us they would no longer work for him.  He is not a qualified experienced builder, the AIA recommended him to help him out, we were new to town, and the builder we researched had started on another project.  Little did I know the AIA and the builder's wife were long time friends and he was trying help the guy out.  Dave even used our original builders bid to bid out the job.  He did not pay out sub's (except of the one that were his friends), footings were less then a foot in the ground, we kicked them out, after he shingled the roof (as roofers didn't show up, real story was because he never paid them deposit) rain entered into the living room and guest bedroom.  We had the put a big blue home depot tarp over our new roof, it looked like a disaster site in a million dollar neighborhood.  We spent a good 15 months reconstructing what we knew was not up to code, and many years late would still find things wrong.  For example, the guest bedroom and a sagging celling, could figure out way, there is a flat roof above it, we open up the ceiling and a the support beams were hung incorrectly.  The kitchen celling finally had to be opened up to actually put a support beam in. He poured our foundation in below freezing temperatures, which led to a major crack, which he then tried to cover up.   He consistently lied to us the homeowners and his own sub-contractors.  Please, if you feel need to use this person who calls himself a builder, first I advise you take a hot iron, and hit yourself in the face with it.   I would use him to build me a free bird house.  Feel Free to call me 617-794-4392
