Linda's Critter Corral

The first time at a new groomer is tough because as the customer, you envision what you want but don’t always describe it correctly. They got both dogs right the first time. They did a terrific job!

We've been going to Linda's Critter Corral since last June when we got our Golden Retriever. We are always impressed and pleased with how our dog looks when we pick her up. She looks and smells great when she's done. Also, the team working there is always professional, polite, and friendly. We love taking our dog there and look forward to our visits. I recommend them without hesitation! Try them. You won't be disappointed! 

as soon as we had contacted Linda's critter corral, we were able to get an appointment that same day.  our son's dog is a Staffordshire terrier and is extremely strong.  this was her first experience at a groomer's.  she had a real adversion to get getting bathed.  I give the staff credit.  despite the dog's strength, they succeeded in accomplishing the goal.  the dog was ready when promised and smelled beautifully.  I apologize for writing this review so late.  they were kind enough to have taken us asap and I should have reciprocated then.

My Irish Wolfhound is on the skittish side and this is the first time I have gone to "Linda's Critter Corral" so I was a little hesitant. From setting up the appointment (the person on the phone was very helpful about accommodating my schedule), to the people in the company that I met, and the extreme cleanliness of the premises, everything was done on a genuinely friendly, professional level. They told me when they thought she would be ready to pick up, and this turned out to be correct. Most important to me, my dog did not look traumatized or frightened when she was brought out, which she has done at other places. I think that they must have handled her with sensitivity to her nervousness, and it showed. Also, she looks great! I will definitely go back to this groomer when Bronwen (my dog) needs to be groomed again. There was a 10% discount for our first visit - another plus.

They are loving,& caring to our little guy Barry. The Groomers answer all your questions and give suggestions to help your animal with problem skin. I recommend you make an appointment for your pet you will be pleased! Thank you Linda and staff for all you do for Barry????

I am very impressed with this groomer. The owner and the people that work there are kind to both animals and their humans and the atmosphere is never frantic so the animals are as calm as possible in that kind of groomer/veterinarian situation that can be stressful for animals. The place is always very clean and they are very good at listening to any concerns or requests without making you feel rushed or like you are being demanding in some way.
We have taken many dogs to many groomers in several states over the years and my family has had mostly miniature schnauzers for decades. This type of dog has a very specific type of cut and some of our dogs have been award winning show dogs so expert grooming is an important part of properly showing this breed. When being shown, these dogs must have their coat managed in a certain way so that they grow wire hair. When not being shown, they at least need to have the proper cut to really look their best and represent their breed. Linda's Critter Corral is the first groomer we have had in a very long time that has really gotten the proper cut done correctly on a miniature schnauzer. After putting up with years of sub-par work by other groomers, we have found someone who takes the time to know what is correct for a specific breed. We have had to constantly accept incorrect cuts from other groomers unless we did it ourselves (in the old days) or had a professional handler taking care of the dogs' grooming while they were being shown. Out of frustration,we decided on a whim to try this place and asked for a show cut for a miniature schnauzer and they DID IT RIGHT!! He looked great! It was kind of a shock after seeing the dogs come back not quite right for so long. I have seen every kind of dog, and CATS, coming out of this place and they always seem pretty happy and look great. We have found a new groomer and we are thrilled! Possibly (unless last groomer went up again in price as well) might be $5 or $10 more than our last groomer but worth every penny and far better results! This is a place that makes everyone feel welcome and I would take my daughters mixed breed mutt there as fast as I would a show dog because it is that kind of place and best of all, now everyone is happy when we bring the dog home looking great and done right!

He was greeted enthusiastically when we entered. He was not thrilled. He has very dry flaky skin. He was groomed the way I requested. They used a warm oil treatment for his skin. It worked. I run humidifiers in my home during the heating season. The humidity helps keep the flakiness under control until the AC season when the dry skin comes back. The people at the critter corral came up with another process to relieve the dry skin. It worked very well. I appreciate their resourcefulness in coming up with a new process to alleviate this problem.

When we arrived, there was a big sign outside welcoming Joey and other dogs being groomed that day. The place is clean, homey and personal. Neighborhoody but professional. They were very particular about what length I wanted her to be and recorded it for future reference. I had been taking her to PetSmart for the convenience and this was a much more pleasant, personal experience for both of us. Took a little longer than they originally said, though frankly this has been my experience everywhere I've taken my dog to be groomed in the past 8 years of her life.
