My experience with L-A-C Steel Fabrication was ideal. Matt emailed me soon after I used Angi to request quotes and he offered to estimate my job. His emails were prompt and gave information on details that showed mastery of his craft. The estimate he gave was the ultimate price he billed. Every communication was prompt, and so was his arrival to do the work. He did the repair of two sections of iron railing expertly -- welding in replacement pieces and painting to match the current. Matt was great. Over the summer I had had some work done on my brick and limestone front steps that required removal of the existing iron railings. But the railings needed to be modified before they could be re-installed. The ironwork contractor that the mason recommended never showed up and as winter approached I was desperate to get them back on. I found Matt on Angie's list and within a week of my call he had picked them up, modified them, and reinstalled them. Two railings were modified and re-installed, plus one other repaired and re-installed, and another that just had to be re-installed. Matt provided good advice on the modifications so that the previous damage to the limestone would not re-occur. Everything is sturdy and looks great and we are ready for winter. (The price seemed reasonable but because I needed it done quickly I didn't get any other quotes.)

Matt came with another person. They were in and out. Couldn't have gone better. Just an FYI Matt came out twice before to check out old railings to see if they could be repaired and to see if another set would fit. All free of charge and with no agreement that I would hire him. When I decided to go new I didn't hesitate hiring him. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Very professional.

We had an excellent experience with this company at each step of the job, from a quick and very reasonable quote, to the installation shortly after I sent a deposit. Matt gave me a quote the same day I contacted him, using a photo and basic measurements I sent over phone. He suggested a design I loved at once. The railing looks great. In addition, Matt and his helper kindly agreed to do another small job for me (painted an iron vent inside the house). Matt was very responsive and easy to communicate. Highly recommend this company!

Matt provided perfect service from the first phone call through completion of the work. He arrived to do the estimate when he said he would, schedule the work in a reasonable amount of time and completed it on time. The 4 railings are now solid and safe again and the new paint will protect them well for several years. I'm very happy with his work and strongly recommend him. Matt was willing to repair the railing. Most of it was fine, the problem was just 4 posts rusted out. Other companies wanted to replace the entire thing which would have been a waste and a lot more expensive.

The L-A-C Steel services were outstanding (hard to say that now days). Everything was done on time, the quality of work was great, the company was easy to communicate with, price was competitive. Highly recommended!

Railing looks great and is very solid.  Installation was completed in about an hour and half.

I sent him photos of a railing on the side of my house so he could match it for a new one on the front. He gave me an estimate and I asked him to go ahead and do the work. I didn't hear back after a week or so, so I contacted him. It turned out his father had just passed away, so he was a bit behind, but he did complete the work within a few weeks after that. He was very professional and courteous and did a great job.

Matt did a great job.  He came out immediately after I called and sent me pictures of other jobs he had done so I could see what types of railings were possible.  I got quotes from 4 or 5 other possible providers and Matt's was the best.  He wasn't able to install it on the original date we had discussed due to a death in the family, but he kept me informed about his schedule.  It was well worth the short wait. The railing was exactly what I had asked him to create for me and he did a great job installing it.  I'd be more than happy to call him again if I need anything and would be happy to pass his name along to friends and family.

Matt was very understanding in helping me figure out where I needed the hand railings for the insurance requirement. Some of the stairs only needed railings on one side due to narrow width of stairs. His company did a great job in making and installing them. They look really good with the house.

Matt was very responsive and easy to work with. He showed up when he said he would for the estimate and installation and he and his assistant did a good, efficient job installing and painting the railings. The finished product looks great. He scores high points for communication, which is really important with a contractor. He checked in via email, (another plus for me since I prefer email and a lot of folks are phone only), to let me know the status of everything. He even followed up with a thank you message and told me not to hesitate to contact him with any questions or problems. I would use him again if I ever need more iron work.

Everything went PERFECTLY. Matt quickly responded to my request for an estimate. He sent pictures of five or six different styles of railings for me to choose from (and they were all beautiful). He answered all my questions and responded to every e-mail promptly. His website was easy to navigate and reassured me that his business was sound and reliable. The railings were installed quickly and efficiently, and Matt and his co-worker couldn't have been nicer.

I now have gorgeous railings for a great price - before the icy season!!!! I am so happy!!!!!
