Good Choice Movers LLC

On 2/15/17 I hired Good Choice Movers to facilitate a move for us to take place on 4/30/17. I discussed with them a list of items to be moved as well as details of the home the items would be coming from and the home that the items would be going to. We agreed on a price of $110/hour along with the guarantee that the move would not be a problem. The two movers that were sent seemed polite in the beginning and loaded up the truck. At the home we moved out of, they caused pretty severe damage to the stairway railing as well as a couple of the walls. Once they arrived to the new home, they began drastically slowing down and it was clear that they did not wish to continue with the move. They then began the excuses, “we can’t move this because it is too heavy”, “we can’t move this because it won’t fit”, “this will be an extra charge to move”, etc. etc. etc. We ended up paying quite a large sum in extra fees because they wouldn’t move items without it. They caused severe damage to several pieces of our furniture, walls, and brand new hardwood floor at the new house. They also flat out refused to move two pieces of furniture because they “wouldn’t fit” (aka they didn’t feel like it). To add insult to injury, they then demanded that we sign their paperwork and pay with a credit card only so they could leave. They ONLY accepted credit card or cash (which we did not know beforehand so we did not have cash) and they charged a fee over $30 to pay by credit card. They also overcharged us by $60.00 as they did not account for the full $110.00 deposit we put down. After moving the furniture that the movers refused to ourselves and photographing all of the damages left behind by the movers, we contacted the owner who stated that he would not do anything for us and good luck taking him to court. I have never dealt with such a horrible business in my life!
