I was so happy when I met Mr. Curtis. He had lots of experience with old homes around where I live and work. He came with his son to see the job and talked to me about how his was a family business that always treated people right. He had some thoughts about how he could upgrade the stairs, and I loves the ideas. He said that it would be about 2 days of work (for the stairs and bricks), and that he would be able to come out in two weeks. I called 2 weeks later to see if he was still coming out, and he said it would be at the end of the week. The end of the week came and went, so I called again but did not get a call back. I called two more times, and on the final call, he told me that he was doing me a favor for doing such a small job, that most of his jobs were half a million dollar jobs, and that I should find someone else. Then he hung up on me. I've never had such a condescending ending to a job.
