At 7:15 of the scheduled day I looked outside and saw the foreman standing in the driveway sizing up the job. They went right to work and were complete by 11AM. Very professional crew. They did indeed have a lot of "big equipment" and the job seemed to go very smoothly.
Although the contract called for a 2" layer topped off with a 1.5" layer, the supervisor of the job asked if it was OK to do a heavy single layer with a different material. I was a little concerned about how smooth the final driveway would be but said OK, The driveway came out great. It actually appears to be thicker than 3.5" (I'd estimate at least 4").
We are very pleased with the job done my Miller Asphalt.
Everything was as promised and even a little extra. They had extra asphalt so the resurfaced my front walk way which was not part of the deal. Driveway looks great, the decorative stone looks great in a area where grass does not grow well. Price was competitive and affordable and I felt like I got a little extra for my money.
Stan was prompt to come out and give a quote. He was the only quote that we got as I thought the price was very fair. The cost included grade, gravel, and asphalt. The driveway looks great and he was able to work me in two weeks after the initial quote. The entire process only took 12 hours. We recently had a downpour and the rain didn't pool at all on the driveway like it did on the dirt driveway. I highly recommend Miller's paving.
