PODS Moving & Storage

The POD system is excellent and the drivers are very professional. Customer service is not satisfactory regarding scheduling pickup and delivery of the unit. They said to schedule 24-48 hours ahead, but I could not get the full POD picked up for 4 days and had to wait 8 days to schedule the delivery to my new address and as a result I was charged an extra month rent. They said it was their busy time, and I say they should prepare and staff for their normal busy season instead of inconveniencing the customer. Very poor customer service with more concern for their own needs, not mine.

Everything went very smoothly, except materials shifted in transit and made a bulge in the door. They called us to tell us about this and were helpful in resolving.

They came when they told me they would come, but when they came they didn't tell me I would need a certain amount of clearance so they said it wouldn't fit. He said if I moved the fence a little bit it should be able to fit so I had to dig out the fence and then pay someone to put the fence back. Besides that, when the pod came to Florida the kid who dropped it off went across the street and I had to tell him it was the wrong house. When he brought it over I couldn't open the door to the pod, the kid reached under the door and he was able to push away what he needed to for the door to be open. He was able to get the door undone for me and it worked out well. I will definitely get another pod now that I know how to do it. All in all it was so much better than renting a moving truck and driving it, and it was really convenient. I felt my possessions were much more secure by using a pod so that movers didn't have access to my stuff.
