The team called when they were 15 minutes out, and arrived right on time. Upon inspecting the areas of concern, they quickly set to work. First, they used a SeeSnake (plumber's snake with a camera) to identify the "root cause" of the issue (pun intended): the house had sat empty for several years prior to our recent purchase, and so we had several places where tree roots had grown into the joints where various pieces of the line connected. Throughout the process, the technicians explained what they were seeing to me and clearly described the measures they would take to mitigate the issue.
The next step was to use a massive plumber's snake with specially-designed cutting blades to remove the roots from the line. Once the blockage was cleared (about 2.5 hours later), the technicians cleaned up the soiled area around the drain and gave me some information about maintaining the line in the future, including some products I can use myself (which they don't sell, but other customers swear by) to keep from having to pay them to come out more often. They then provided me with a DVD of the SeeSnake video of my system (complete with their narration of what they encountered) for my records, which will be very useful to my plumber when he returns to cap the unused clean-out.
One aspect of the service that I really appreciated was that at one point, the technicians realized that we had moved into the main line from the town (which also had massive amounts of roots growing in it). I would have been unable to tell that we had left my property, but rather than continuing to work (and charge me) the technicians pointed out that there was no reason for me to pay to maintain the town's line. They gave me the information I needed to request the town come out to perform maintenance on the line, and offered to speak with them should they need any additional information.
Their integrity and professionalism were much appreciated, and I would highly recommend Fletcher Sewer and Drain.
The technician arrived on time. He cleared both the bathroom sink drain and the tub drain. He also inspected the bathroom toilet (which was leaking) and provided a recommendation. The technician called me when he finished the work and while he was still at the property
I received a copy of the invoice by mail the following week. The entire process was very smooth.
I have used Fletcher Sewer & Drain, Inc. in the past and would recommend them.
appeared to be pretty deep. I had attempted to snake it out myself, and
used some drain cleaning products but nothing worked. I called
Fletcher and they were able to get me in that day. They sent over a
technician named Patrick who was very personable, and great to work
with. He called when he was about 20 minutes out to give me the heads
up that he was on his way, and then was able to assess the problem and
fix it pretty quickly. He ran water through to make sure that the clog
was completely gone, and wrote me a good summary of the work that was
done.
The service itself went very well. They called when on their way and showed up as scheduled. They had the right equipment and were done in about 30 seconds, were very personable and professional. I would use them again for clogs as well as sewer line maintenance.
