I had two repair companies come and give me a price. Ace was the best price with no frills. He explained what he needed to do with no extras. When they were done, they explained that there wasn't as much work to repair as they initially thought, so they adjusted their price accordingly. Fireplace has been dry all winter.

"Thank you [Member Name Removed] for your review of our services last September. Upon our inspection we found your chimney to be clean and clear, as we noted on your inspection form, and not in need of a sweep. We referred you to another chimney sweep that will pull the stove and sweep the chimney with the partial sleeve you have, when it needs a cleaning next season. This is noted on your inspection form. The recommendation for a full sleeve was only if you wanted it to be swept without pulling the stove each time. I hope this clears up any concerns you have and will be happy to refund you the $75 inspection fee if you would call me at my office 413-547-8500."

The contractor did a fine job cleaning out our chimney and woodstove, quick and efficient and left no mess. They even cleaned out a couple dead birds that had fallen into our basement ash trap without complaints. They left us a no pressure quote to install a chimney cap to prevent a repeat of the bird incident. We'll do business with them again.

gave estimate in one week to repair crown of the chimmey. we didn't known about senior discount at time of inspection, we send are deposit in,and ask for senior discount. with in a couple of weeks they called to tell us that we would get the discount.job will be done in spring.nice to deal with. as always very happy with ace.

I called the week before Christmas to schedule an inspection/cleaning. Kelly answered the phone immediately, scheduled me for 12/23 so we could enjoy a fire for Christmas. She called the night before to confirm. The two guys showed up on time and were very courteous. They inspected the chimney and determined that it didn't need to be cleaned. They checked the furnace flue and confirmed that it vents to the outside so that also didn't need cleaning. They charged me $70 for the inspection which I was able to charge to my credit card. They recommended frequency of inspections/cleanings and left within 5-10 minutes.

Both guys were professional and found a serious problem of exposed brick that had no tiles to prevent a chimney fire. We are grateful that they were thorough and had the knowledge and expertise to prevent a more serious problem. Also, the creosote build up was our fault as we cleaned our own chimney since 2009 or so we thought we did. Lesson learned, and quot;don't clean your own chimneyand quot;.
We will need a liner in our chimney which will be costly, but once that is done it is guaranteed for life.

Ace Chimney Sweep was very professional and friendly. They inspected and showed me how to properly use the fireplace in my new home. They were running about a half hour late for the appointment and they gave me a call to let me know which is why I gave them an A for puntuality.They told me my fireplace was in great shape and did not need any other services. It's great to find an honest business I can trust.

The person was very professional but did not catch that the liner of the flue to the boiler was severely cracked and could have fallen into the boiler in the near future. A person brought in by the buyer of my house had to do the work to make repairs.

Two men from Ace Chimney arrived on time on the day specified. They were quite friendly and respectful. They cleaned and inspected the chimney and woodstove stovepipe.
Because I had never lived with a woodstove before, I asked for a and quot;lessonand quot; in proper use, maintenance, etc. They guys spent 30 minutes showing me all the ins and outs. They even lit a fire and taught me to properly monitor stove pipe temperature and more.
Based on this experience, I would say they're great guys and offer great service.

Excellent service . Was afraid the flue was not working properly but turned out there was just a buildup causing it to partially close. I've heard stories about dishonest chimney sweeps saying that repairs were needed when all was fine. That was certainly not the case with this company.

I called Ace because this was our first winter in a new house and one of the fireplaces (2 total) was smoking a lot so I thought it need to be cleaned. The guys from Ace were great! They inspected everything and told me I did not need to have cleaning done at this point - helped me figure out how to get rid of smoke problem - gave helpful info about good schedule for having chimney cleaned in the future. Just charged me for inspection. Could have and quot;cleanedand quot; and charged for it and I never would have know the difference! I really appreciated the honesty - as well as the great advice. I will definitely use Ace again.
