VMAC Removal

It was a bunch of miscellaneous rubbish. It was a lot of stuff (Furniture, mattresses, televisions, etc.), that they hauled away. They were great. They did it fast, and efficient. They were also very clean, and got the job done!

We recently moved cross country from Southern California to Tewksbury and after unpacking our household goods had a number of items that we needed to dispose of as we no longer wanted/needed them.

The refuse company that services the area where we live does not do bulk pickup so we had to find a reputable company that would work with us. We believe in supporting the local community as opposed to the larger, generally more expensive chains and in our internet search found VMAC Removal.

We emailed VMAC Removal with our needs on a Friday afternoon, Black Friday, and quickly received a reply requesting we phone the business so we could discuss specifics. Phoning the establishment that same afternoon we reached a very pleasant, professional gentleman, Ed.

Ed took time to patiently explain how the pricing worked and after a few minutes on the phone and a series of questions, he was able to provide us with a conservative estimate to ensure there were no surprises. We arranged to have the items picked up the next morning.

Prior to the appointment that Saturday morning, we received a phone call from Ed letting us know the driver was on his way. Sure enough within 10 minutes of the call his driver, Mel, showed up and quickly got to work loading the truck in the dreary rain. As the driver worked he arranged the items on the truck to minimize the footprint thereby reducing our cost for pickup. In a matter of about 15 minutes the truck was loaded, my garage was all cleaned out and the driver pulled away. Shortly thereafter the phone rang and it was Ed to confirm all went well and the cost had been as expected. That's Customer Service!!

Ed and his associates were professional, prompt, respectful, helpful, courteous, honest, and trustworthy.

I split a truck with my neighbor so the price was $300. They came right away and took away all of the trash. They did a great job. They actually hauled it out of the house. I just pointed to it and they took it out; it was neat. I did get confused on the price but that might have been my mistake. Their picture was a little confusing. I thought I was getting the deal of the century but I was just getting a deal. They also have a service where they will leave 3 big trashcans and I could load those up and they would come back. That seemed like a good price and had I known, I would have done that. They were the lowest price in the area for taking away a piano. They will take anything including paint, but there is a surcharge for that. They said they recycle it all.

I first called and spoke with Ed, and he took the time to explain all my options when I told him I was cleaning out my attic. He listened to my situation and offered information on the many ways they could assist, and cost for services such as provided manpower and paying for hazardous waste. Their prices were lower than anyone else I called. I liked the fact that theirs was an enclosed trailer that could be locked overnight to avoid passersby from throwing their junk in my dumpster!

The trailer was delivered promptly, and was so clean we could have used it to go camping! He and his driver took much time and care in setting it up, explaining to us how to use it, close it up, etc. Again Ed made sure we understood all our options.

Today I called to say it was ready to be picked up, went to get cleaned up after loading dirty boxes, and by the time I got out of the shower the truck was there hooking up the trailer to take it away. I will absolutely call V-Mac again and recommend them 100%. It couldn't have been a more positive experience.

Called in the morning, got a quote on the phone and Dave was there that night to haul it all away. The price was excellent compared to other companies that tack on additional fees for every separate category. Have recommended him to many others. No need to shop around, VMAC is the best!

Overall I was very happy.
