I have spent close to 2 days of business time trying to straighten out a simple issue with Verizon and the problem still isn't solved. I have been transferred to empty lines, I have been disconnected, I have been transferred back and forth between departments despite saying who transferred me, I have been assured that things will be fixed in a variety of times and they never were, and so forth. I think that people take the perspective that all of these major utilities really rot which is pretty much true. This has been ridiculous. They are insisting that I have to be connected to a temporary line that they disconnected. They insisted it has to be this temporary line which they have already disconnected. The level of incompetence has just been nuts. They actually had the audacity to call me for survey on my home phone while I was still on the phone 2 hours later with a tech. The price is probably mediocre. They screwed up my cellphone service which is not even with them. Because of the Wi-Fi issue, it went into a swivet where I couldn't surf the net or use Safari, or get directions or anything on my AT&T cellphone because Verizon had screwed up my home internet. Their responsiveness is equally bad. I can get somebody to ultimately respond but they will disconnect me and transfer me to an inappropriate department or they don't know and they'll keep me on the phone for hours. The professionalism varies with the representative. I'm going to be looking at the other providers but I have a problem with Comcast that depixelates my picture and I get to fix it myself. If I can avoid going to them, I will. They don't train their people, that's the problem. The people hate the company and I happen to know that because I have known people who work for them. There's a feeling that the company treats them unfairly so they do whatever they can to try to get away with it. If they need to get me off the line simply by disconnecting me, they'll do that. If they need to just pretend, to give me some answer even though it's totally untrue, they'll do that.
