Established in 1923 Post Office Locksmith, located at 130 Gorham Street in Lowell, MA has been serving Greater Lowell, Merrimack Valley, and Southern New Hampshire for many years. Post Office Locksmith was founded and operated in 1923 by an Armenian immigrant named Abraham Jeknavorian. After his passing in 1980, his son Armen and his wife, Sossy took over the operation of the locksmith business. Presently, their son Avo is also working in the operation of the family business.

Arranged in advance for a day and time. Took 2 calls to do that. Locksmith showed up just about on time. He had no problem changing all the door locks. However, he only showed up with only one security bar, and on that one, he drilled an extra hole in the new door that now shows (he told me to fill it with caulk). Luckily, it was on the basement doors so it's not so noticeable. It was then that he told me this was the first time he had installed a security bar. Since he was missing the other security bar, I asked him to order it and call me when it came in. It's been nearly a month and I haven't heard a word. My experience was not poor, but obviously not top rated either. As there are a number of locksmiths in the area, I will try someone else next time.

Excellent! They were on-time, did exactly what was required, explained the use of the safe to us, and set the combination to numbers we picked, all for a very reasonable price. I will use them again for all my lock related work.

The sales/purchase process at their 130 Gorham St location was mixed. They knew right away what I needed and were quick to recommend doorknob hardware that would work for us. They were very knowledgeable about their products. However, they didn't seem to have a very wide selection - I would have liked to have seen additional choices or possibly better quality hardware. They were available to install the new knobs and deadbolts within 2 days. They were on-time and very friendly during the install. However, I would have liked to have seen a bit more professionalism - they didn't clean up after themselves (lots of sawdust, etc.), and they made a small mistake in lining up the deadbolt on the front door. Overall, I like to support the businesses in my immediate community, and I would use Post Office Locksmith again in the future. But I would be more specific about what I need, want, and expect.
