MURRAY PLUMBING & HEATING

Murray plumbing initially called me back the very next day and came within a few hours as they explained on the phone. They said they would use a snake to unclog the tub, but a snake was not brought up to my condo or used. After initially clearing the slow bathroom tub, within 3 days, the tub started backing up significantly again. I called them back to let them know and ask for them to reassess and address as the problem was only solved for less than a week. They never called back. Over the next few days, the drain kept backing up more and more and I felt unsafe using my bathtub. I called Murray plumbing 2 additional times (total of 3) to address this issue and left messages but they never replies. Finally after ~ 10 days I slipped and that is when I had enough and had to call another company to fix the issue. The other company brought a snake in and fixed the problem permanently. I do not appreciate Murray plumbing's lack of responsiveness on multiple attempts and not addressing the initial issue but only temporarily helping the situation. This is not professional.

EXCELLENT Job!

We hired Murray Plumbing and Heating to convert our ancient oil/steam system to gas/steam system (new gas furnace, new radiator valves, removal of oil tank, permits, inspection, etc.). Once the new furnace arrived the project took less than a week. Jim the owner was here every day working on the project himself and we are extremely pleased with the work they did. The only problem both ourselves and Murray Plumbing ran into were with the gas company who was not very responsive to do there part to move this process along. Murray Plumbing left our house very tidy at the end of each day which I really appreciate and Jim even took the time to say a quick hello to our toddler who was very intrigued by the exciting tools and trucks. All in all we are thrilled with the work they did, will be using them for more work in the future and would highly recommend them.

Regarding the outdoor spigot, the firm showed up on time and gave us an estimate of $300 for the work.  Another plumber quoted the exact same work at $1,800, which we are still amazed at.  When we received the estimate, we also received a follow-up call to schedule a date/time to do the actual work.  They showed up on time again and the installation was quick, yet thorough.  They needed to cut through some sheetrock in order to install the piping, and they cleaned up after themselves which was great.  In the end, we were charged 285.00 because they were able to get the part cheaper than they originally inspected.  The whole process was great and it was five times cheaper than the other estimate we received. My neighbor had a very similar experience with his disposal and sink.I will definitely use this firm again if I have plumbing needs.

I have highly recommended him to other people because I believe that he is that great. He is very responsive. He put in a boiler that was excellent.
