Mark-One Disposal & Demolition

Mark One was excellent. Dumpster was dropped off and picked up on time, and they protected driveway. Would highly recommend!

The crew was very punctual and worked quickly and carefully to remove
our structures and haul the debris away.  They were careful to not
damage plants near the structures.  They made sure to double check the
debris zones to make sure they got all the old nails and debris before they left.

Estimator was punctual and business-like. Turned around a proposal in two days. Crew of three worked for two days to do the job. Effectively contained dust to the basement area, carefully removed old ductwork, and removed lath and plaster without damage to pipes and electrical wires that were there before and after the ceiling was installed (around 1950). Nice job cleaning up after their work. Overall great experience.

It was excellent. They checked it everything around the house properly. There were no dust issues in the rest of the house from where the demolition was taken place. The cleanup was excellent. They were very professional and courteous people.

We would never recommend them for any work. After the terrible experience with the theft of items from our home, we received a very lame and quite frankly insulting phone call from the president of the firm explaining they work in "very exclusive neighborhoods" and they have never had any issues. Although the former worker admitted to the facts in court, we have not received a formal apology from the company.

Mark Peters came to look over the work we wanted - to tear down our old garage, leaving the slab in place, and haul away the contents - and Mike Evers followed up by email with an estimate and contract. It turned out that we were responsible for pulling permits, because Mark-One is a demolition company, not a contractor. So that put the job off for almost a year, while we got around to dealing with utilities and city to get the permit. (It didn't take a year to get the permit - it took a year for us to get around to having the electricity disconnected and scheduling an inspection by National Grid!) Mike was very helpful via email as we worked that part out, and very patient and professional. A year later, when we finally got around to getting the permit, Mark-One still had all our info and the original contract, which had to be changed a little, then the schedule was set, and a crew showed up with a backhoe and a dumpster. We also wanted some pavers that we had been storing in the garage to be moved to behind a shed, which they contracted to do also. I was home when the garage went down - a thrilling sight, which the crew also apparently enjoyed. I left for work shortly after that, and came back home to a perfectly cleaned-up site, dumpster gone, every splinter, nail and shard of glass picked up, garbage gone, slab swept, and all our pavers neatly stacked behind the shed. We paid $700 down by credit card, and the remainder on completion. All in all, a good experience. We've used them since, also.

Arrived on time. They were helpful, polite and got the job done. Some miscommunication between our general contractor and their people but that got resolved. Cleaned up after themselves as best they could (but dust lingered from the lathe and plaster ceiling for days afterwards -- I guess that's unavoidable). Good crew. I'll use them again.

I have used Mark-One several times to get dumpsters for construction projects. A real person always answers the phone, never a machine. They usually have delivered a dumpster the very next day. One time they didn't have any available in the size I wanted so they brought the next larger size for the price of the smaller one. The drivers put the dumpsters right where I want them and they're careful to not damage the driveway or anything else. I know that I could get a dumpster for a bit less money but the superb service is worth a few extra dollars.

I am very pleased with their responsiveness. They were really fast coming to pick up the garbage, and it only took them about 10 minutes to get there. They were very organized and I was really pleased.

These guys are great. We've used them before. Good customer service, always pick up, and drop off when they say they will.

A very pleasant experience, great guidance from the office regarding the most appropriate sized dumpster, and scheduling delivery and pickup was easy. A good value and a positive experience.

FRAN WAS HELPFUL IN FIGURING OUT WHAT SIZE DUMPSTER WE NEEDED AND EXPLAINING HOW THE SERVICE WORKED. HE ARRANGED FOR A TIME FOR DELIVERY WHEN I COULD BE THERE AND GET AN IDEAL PLACEMENT FOR US (TO MINIMIZE FOOTSTEPS AND STILL ALLOW ACCESS TO MOVING TRUCKS). DELIVERY PERSON WAS CAREFUL AND PLEASANT. FOR PICKUP I WARNED HIM THAT WE HAD ALSO HAD A LOW-LYING CABLE PUT IN SINCE THE DUMPSTERS ARRIVAL. HE THANKED US FOR THE WARNING AND SAID HE WOULD SEND A SMALLER TRUCK. I GATHER YOU CAN PAY LESS (WE DIDN'T COMPARISON SHOP), BUT THE CAREFUL SERVICE WAS WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY TO ME.

THEY DELIVERED AND PICKED UP DUMPSTERS THREE TIMES, FOR A KITCHEN CONSTRUCTION JOB. CHARGES RANGED FOR DIFFERENT SIZES $400 - $700. IT'S A DUMPSTER, WHAT CAN YOU SAY? THE DRIVERS WERE INCREDIBLY ACCURATE IN THEIR POSITIONING, NON-WHINEY, AND ARRIVED AT THE TIMES AGREED. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED, IN A FIELD WITH LOTS OF JOHNNY-COME-LATELIES.
