I was quoted almost $1300.00 to fix an oil leak on the timing chain cover on my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Cummins Diesel. Doug, the shop manager, found a cheaper fix and charged me just $300.00 for the fix. I appreciated the honesty. I have used Lowell Automatic for several repairs and they always do a good job for me at a very good price I feel.

It could not have gone better. My transmission was going fast and I was being referred to a place in NH. I thought there had to be a trustworthy place closer to home and just happened to pass LAT. I looked them up online and found a couple of good reviews, then checked BBB where they have an A+ rating. I called for an apt and hoped for the best. Billy, in charge of their transmission services, was able to give me an appointment at my convenience. I brought it in and was able to wait in a comfortable waiting room with TV and internet while it was checked. Billy went over the whole process, explaining what was wrong, what my options were and what each option would cost. We decided on a plan of action and I dropped my car off a few days later. I fell later that day and ended up in the hospital and unable to pick up my car for a few extra days. When I let Billy know that I wasn't able to get there for a few days, he seemed much more concerned about me being taken care of than picking up my car. When I was able to go for it, other mechanics were asking me how I was. When I paid the bill, it was to the penny of what I was quoted. And when the keys were handed over, Billy told me he had replaced something that was causing a horribly loud rattle even when just idling. (It had been driving me a little crazy but I hadn't had time to have it fixed.) It had nothing to do with the transmission but he wouldn't let me pay him for it. The cost of the transmission (used, with a 6 month warranty and less than half the mileage of the one I drove in with) was a few hundred dollars less than I had been told to expect by my regular mechanic and several people that I work with. I can't recommend them highly enough!

The warning lights on my 1998 Saturn Waggon came on. They checked out the car and gave me an estimate. I had to go to work so they gave me a ride home so I could get a ride. They also picked me up at my house and gave me a lift back to the garage to pick up my Saturn. Price was as estimated.S
