As it turns out I had a car that uses synthetic oil. The recommendation from the dealer said the oil should be changed every 10 miles. They did not check this. They wanted to change the oil much sooner. They actually should not have changed the oil in my car. They did not tell me or they did not know that the car did not need an oil change at that time so it was unnecessary service. They should know about the service requirements of the car given its make, model or year. They should have known better. The cleanliness of my car when they were done was just fine. I am sure they did a fine job of changing my oil, even though it wasn't needed.
