DISASTER. I should
have known this was not going to end well when the oil change took 1 hour, the manager told me he had to go out to a
parts store to get an oil filter. After
spending $90 on oil I drove home. 4
hours later there were 6 QUARTS OF OIL ON MY GARAGE FLOOR. After 2 visits from the manager it turned out
the drain plug was not installed correctly.
He left me with kitty litter on the floor and no apologies. He couldn't even tell me why my oil level
indicator wasn't functioning. I have no idea if any damage occured to my engine
while I was driving home.
That was bad enough but yesterday the oil pan dropped down
while I was driving on Rt 128. It was rattling and scraping, I drove slowly to a shop where they used
zip ties to hold it back in place. They told me all of the screws holding the
pan were missing. I phoned the Jiffy
Lube manager to tell him of the problem and he told me it was my fault that the
pan dropped down because I hadn't brought my car back to the shop for him to
look at.
After the 2 major league screwups by this manager I told him
I wanted to speak to the owner. he told
me that the OWNER DOESN'T TALK TO CUSTOMERS. He told me no matter what I would
end up talking to him and he refused to put me in touch with the owner.
I am clearly frustrated after 2 big time mistakes and a
manager who wants to blame me and an owner who doesn't talk to customers.
DO NOT TRUST JIFFY LUBE TO CHANGE YOUR OIL.
