Hardwood Flooring Service
Here is the list of problems we had with HG Hardwood Floors: 1. They chipped our brand new granite counter tops and never mentioned it, we found the chips days after the job was completed. 2. The old tile from the kitchen and the sub floor (plywood) that was being replaced was left on our deck with rusty screws all over the place. The reason we could not discuss/complain about this with the company while the job was being done was that we evacuated the house for a full week since we wouldn't be able to live there while the work was being done. We found this disastrous mess upon our return home. We were told that they could take the refuse to the curb (which is not an option for us as our town only collects what fits in a single large bin). We have two young sons and the dangerous mess did not sit well. 3. We were told that the one room on the 1st floor that was not having work done would be protected with plastic or a drop cloth. It wasn't and we had small dings in our TV stand and shards of tile EVERYWHERE, we cleaned it up ourselves. 4. We had a large ding in one of our walls (not a big deal to repair...but it too was never mentioned). 5. There were cigarette butts all over our yard. 6. The final and most egregious offense was that two weeks after the work was done I noticed that they had dumped all of the tiles from the torn out floor over the fence in our yard. It was dumped into the woods and not on a neighbors property, thankfully, but it was dumped there, in the woods, probably two large barrels full of tile. Horrendous.
