About us
Welcome to CHESS Engineering, LLC! I'm located in Lowell, MA and provide land surveying and civil engineering services for land development projects such as residential subdivisions, lot stakeouts and civil/site design. As a dual licensed Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor in Massachusetts, I provide consulting and sub-consulting services for a wide range of clients including homeowners, builders, developers and other professional designers. When requesting a surveying task, please be as specific as possible. Let me know if you require a property line stakeout, plan, engineered design or some combination of them all. Being dual licensed, I am your "one stop shop" for all tasks related to your property.

"This is a client who doesn't read the contract he signed. I provide ESTIMATES based on past experience with similar projects, but because each property is unique the final cost is driven entirely by the unique property records, monuments, size, etc. I gave him an estimate and initially came within that estimate range. He then requested more work to be done, so I gave him a revised estimate exceeding the initial one. He approved the extra work but then once it was done, he refused to pay and threatened to leave me poor reviews unless I ate the extra cost. I will gladly show anyone his contract and emails if anyone is concerned. He happened to have a more difficult property to survey and even still, had he not requested the additional work, he would have been within the initial estimate. I provided him opportunities to reduce costs but he declined and tried to get the work done for free by blackmailing me. As you can see here, I have years of positive reviews and have been in business for nearly a decade."
