Belvidere Veterinary Hospital

Dr. Moore at Belvidere Veterinary Hospital guided us through the complex task of treating our diabetic cat.
After some odd behavior we took Bandit to Belvidere Veterinary Hospital and Dr Moore did this initial diagnosis. She was compassionate and confident about his recovery process. Her professional demeanor and ability to explain things concisely and calmly gave us the confidence that this issue could he tackled.
She taught us how to inject our cat with insulin and to administer blood glucose tests. After her lessons (along with the techs at Belvidere Veterinary Hospital), we were at ease with these things.   This allowed us to cut the costs of treatment drastically. Her fees were reasonable and she kept them to a minimum because of attentiveness to emails, phone calls or any communications. She was quick to reply to any of our concerns during this process thus avoiding expensive visits. She directed us to the most cost saving suppliers for our materials, further reducing our total costs. Once having run out of blood glucose test strips during a critical phase of treatment, her staff had an affiliated hospital stay late and sell them to me at their cost, after I got out of work.
Dr. Moore is as good at treating her animal patients as she is at educating and giving confidence to their owners. Which is just as important in the process of nursing a pet back to health. She was reasonably priced, compassionate, professional, and  provided  substantial cost savings alternatives. I was actually surprised since our previous Vet seemed as interested in selling us things as treating our pet.
Her extensive knowledge of feline diabetes has Bandit in remission and off of insulin. He's bouncy, happy and back to his pesky self. Even if he had remained diabetic and on insulin his entire life, her instructions and care would make it an easy part of our daily lives.
We can't thank or praise Dr. Moore enough and will bring to her Bandit, or any future pet we have for treatment or check ups.

If they are not able to do something he is going to die. They are responsive and sometimes when I go in I have to wait. I will continue to use them.

They were very nice, professional, just went with a closer vet.
