He failed to control the mouse population - they got worse.
He put one bait trap in a self contained bathroom vanity with no mouse holes, where the was no evidence of mice. This made me think that he was just going through motions and not giving my situation the attention it deserved.
He failed to return my calls when I attempted to have him revisit the property, as per his guarantee.
He alerted me that previous pest control companies had left bait around which was not properly boxed, which he said was illegal, but he did not feel so inclined as to remove them during his visit.
He may be already out of business, he never answers his phone.

We had a report from them that states that they came out and did not view any termites in the inspection. We gave this inspection to our buyers of our home. They had their own inspection done and there has been photos provided along with the report showing multiple areas of termite damage. We have requested that Bain Pest Control send their reports over to us from the entire time that we have used them since 2000. This is the only objective to our home being purchased. We have never been told in 14 years that there has been any structural damage done to our home. We have now found at that it is not their policy to inform us of any structural damage. The other company is also showing that live termites came out of the basement.

The only paper work they have sent us is the contract we signed back in 2000. We never thought we had any issues with this company until now. We only want the reports and they have not given them to us. We need to know if we were paying for ineffective service all of these years, or if these new reports are inaccurate.
Response from Bain Pest Control Service
"We are sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience when you were selling your home. As you stated in your post, we had a great relationship for 15 years. Unfortunately, you received some bad information by an inspector that has a history of finding termites in previously treated homes. This inspector has traditionally claimed active termites are present so he can sell a termite protection program during the process. Bain has provided termite protection to your home starting in 2000 using the Sentricon Colony Elimination System. Sentricon is the premier termite protection program on the market. DowAgro Sciences, the manufacturer of Sentricon, only certifies 10% of the pest control companies to sell and service this system. They only pick outstanding companies with a history of excellence to service the product according to their high standards. This inspector (who’s company is not Sentricon certified) made an unrealistic claim about termites. We sent out our Termite Department Supervisor and our Assistant Vice President to inspect the area of concern. Neither found any evidence of live termites in the area or surrounding areas. As you can see, we were very concerned about the issue and wanted to make sure the real estate transaction went as smoothly as possible with accurate information. If any treatment was required, Bain would have immediately scheduled an appointment for a technician to handle the issue. We sent a letter to your real estate broker on Nov 21st, 2014 and to you on Nov 22nd, 2014 summarizing the issue and explaining that there were no visible signs of active termites. On Nov 22nd we also sent you all the reports for the 15 years we had been servicing your home. These reports were issued to you after your post. Bain will always release any records to any of our customers. What we will not do, is issue them to an inspector with an agenda. All damaged areas are located and highlighted during the initial inspection. Since termites traditionally produce hidden damage, there can be damaged areas that are not visible to an inspector or the homeowner. Bain has been providing service to the New England area for 90 years. Our customers are very important to us."

the first visit was a thorough consultation - looked in 5 rooms with a flashlight and looked everywhere - took about an hour. They discovered it was isolated to my daughter's room. They came back a few days to do the treatment. Just left! 4 guys were here for over an hour. Very, very thorough. Very informative. We've had these critters for over 5 years and used 2 other companies. The will now come back in 1 week to check, and 2 weeks after that. very reasonably priced!!! I would HIGHLY recommend them.

They are very good.  There’s nothing bad about them.  I have a contract with them and so I can call them anytime when I sense there’s something in the house, and it’s mostly mice.  They’re very good in responding to me.  I pay them by the year and it’s a decent price.  They are excellent.  They come anytime I call them and they come within a couple of days.

I won't say that they are superb but they were okay. I like them but I don't like the idea that they send me a bill first, I need to pay it and then they'll come. They just do what they are going to do and then they're gone. I have no real recommendations for them to be honest but like I said, they were okay.

We had a slight problem with scheduling the visit: the technician
arrived once without calling us ahead of time, and we were not home. We
had to reschedule, because of a vacation, but the technician called
ahead of time as requested and everything went smoothly. We would
certainly use this company again.

They are good.  If there is anything else they do they cover it on their contract.  When we bought the house 5 years ago there was a continuous contract and we just chose to pick that up and it turned out that they were a good company.  Their price did go up a bit.

This is not specific to BAIN - I would say if you're buying a house and the beams in the basement are covered in sheet rock, you should demand permission to check behind it for termites or else get a guarantee that if there is termite damage the seller will pay to fix it.

We had a very good experience with them. It was a one time thing that they came out for. They came out quickly and dealt with it. It was fine. The person who came out was really professional. He talked about some preventative maintenance things that we could do ourselves. He went on to put some kind of a liquid all around the house. He went outside. I discussed certain problem areas and asked him lots of questions. He was very informative. He was great. It was a very pleasant experience. The price was very reasonable. They called me right away and came over right away. I would use them again if we needed to.

I had seen termites swarming from where the deck meets the siding on my house and called immediately for an inspection. The person who answeed the phone was pleasant and told me the name of the person who would call me. I was pleased to receive a prompt call-back from the account exec. The initial visit and inspection was scheduled within 3 days of my call. The account exec, Chris Penn, was knowledgeable, professional, and personable. He also located carpenter ants in retaining walls next to the house which I had not noticed. Where he found evidence of some old termite damage, he was honest and clear that it was not current activity. He also explained about how to distinguish signs of other insects (e.g. mud dauber wasps, carpenter bees) from termites. He clearly explained the options available for treatment, and recommended a Sentricon system of baits and traps for the termites because of the design of the house, and conventional spraying inside the house and outside for the carpenter ants. Chris provided an immediate quote, which included a year of monitoring for the traps, and called while he was at the house (Friday) to schedule the treatments for the following week. Bain also offered flexible payment options for the treatment. Chris spoke highly of the company as a family run operation, and how well they treat their employees. This is always a good sign. The service person who came on Monday for the ant treatment was also knowledgeable, professional, and experienced. He found additional colonies of carpenter ants and signs of carpenter bees which he treated. The termite system was installed on Thursday and the service person was of the same caliber. Both were excellent representatives for the company.

Bains prevented termites from living at my home. I have found no termites so I have no problems or complaints about them. They seem to be very punctual and thorough. I would say they are a pretty good company.
